Oh fuddle sweetheart, what a vile man and the rest of them sound just as bad! I'm so sorry ((HUGS))0

My darling fuddle, there is absolutely nothing you can do with someone so unreasonable and determined to be obnoxious. When you bought your house I suppose it had been rented before. When you sell a house one of the things you have to report on is any trouble with neighbours, and if they hadn't reported their difficulties you might have had some redress. As it is it was left for you to discover the horrid truth.
Well done to your DH for confronting him. You have to be very cautious with bullies. The one thing they want is to provoke a reaction. Masterly inaction is the way to go. Blank faces, indecipherable murmurs and a swift retreat is what I would advise. No reaction at all.
I have just had a 40 minute phone conversation in the middle of this post so I've completely lost my train of thought.
Do not worry dear heart. You have probably had loads of advice since I started this, everyone will be hugging you and cheering you on.
I have to confess to a giggle when you accidently got him in the face with the hose. I think that was Karma.
Please, please my love, do not upset yourself. He is simply not worth it.I believe that friends are quiet angels

You are such a lovely lot.
Incidentally, the last tenant, after the chimnea episode decided to play rock music loudly. It's not something I agree with and the walls are quite thin. That bahavioir isn't fair but there's a tiny part of me can see why the man would choose that route. PS would call the LL every time it happened, even in the small hours to the point where the LL had enough, asked the tenant to leave and decided to sell. No wonder he accepted our first low offer. :rotfl:
Their side of the wall is about a foot higher as it steps down so I would say about at least 5 and a half foot high on their side. I see him as he walks to his shed and it's the last couple of inches of head. He was standing high and proud so I think you're right nargle.
I'm not a victim and I played my own part in prolonging the agony. I should have just walked away but I do feel it's all been one big injustice.
You're so right. This is my home. I've built a good life here. We're happy and settled. I will let it all go and start again tomorrow. They will never get a chance to do that again. I'll walk away and close the door. We're so quiet and respectful, as long as I don't push my luck again I think we can live side by side happily ignorant to each other. One thing is for sure, It's highly unlikely he'll pile the snow on my plants this next winter now0 -
That's the response of a sensible adult love, proud of you...yet again. Sleep well xxx.0

Fuddle, you're a kinder woman than I am. You switched off the hose, I'd have kept giving him it.
Peering over a 6ft fence unexpectedly? He's lucky you weren't hedge trimming instead :eek:Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
peering over that high fence! If he ever calls the police, slip in that you and the girls feel intimidated by the fact that he is always peeping (perving) at the girls and they will very strictly warn him off. I had a neighbour once who was always peeping at my girls when they were out at the back seeing to a pony, they were in tight jods and were 10-13. He called the police saying that we were noisy and I said to the very nice constable that he worried me because he was always peeping and I saw him with a camera at the top window one day. He never did it again
Have that as your backup fuddle0 -
Fuds - I have a neighbour like that.
Solution: do NOT react in any way, shape or form. Then, send a letter to them stating that if they speak to you again in that manner you will report them to the Police under the 'Protection from Harassment Act 1997' - it worked for me!

Fuddle I think Mr PS is a sad little man, if he thinks making nasty comments makes him feel superior.
So as others have said I would ignore him, if he gets pleasure from upsetting people show him it hasn't worked with you.If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0 -
Good advice Kittie and Cocketts. Fuddle, this is your happy home and please ignore him. If he steps it up a notch go with their advice. I rather liked Softstuff's reply too.0

I hope you managed to sleep last night fuddle and didn't keep replaying the whole scene in your mind.
I will be absolutely furious if that man has managed to upset all the improvements in your health that you have worked so hard on.
One more peep out of either of your unpleasant neighbours and the Fencers army will be on the march. Promise.
They, the all-knowing 'they', keep telling me that it is cooler today. Really? It hasn't reached my neck of the woods yet. It's as hot as usual. I would have loved to stay indoors but it's my eldest DGD's birthday tomorrow so I must walk up to the shop to post her card. Dear girl, she is 22 tomorrow but due to her parent's divorce I haven't seen her for 12 years. It's a long sad story but we have always kept in touch by e-mail. Even as a young girl she wouldn't let Christmas or my birthday pass without a card and a gift. The abiding memory I have of her is when she was 2 or 3 years old. I can still see this tiny girl standing under my cherry tree with her arms outstretched as the breeze showered her with blossoms, her face rapt with awe, shouting, "It's raining pink, Grandma, it's raining pink." Seems like yesterday.
I suppose I must gird my loins and do a bit of housework. Millie has moulted all over the suede sofa which she is forbidden to get on. According to her it was some other disobedient dog's fault. She can lie most convincingly.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY, and especially for fuddle.
Whoever is trying to bring you down is already below you.I believe that friends are quiet angels
