You know me too well. I tried to stop it going through my mind when I went to bed but it got me for about an hour. Luckily I drifted off.

I took my heart rate and blood pressure before bed. The numbers were akin to pneumonia. It shocks me how my body reacts to stress and that was hours later.

Yes today is a new day. I have just finished compiling print outs (and a call to HP as my printer went kaput half way through. All fixed though) thankfully after the rat episode I wrote an account, I printed the emaili sent to the allotment warden a few months back and I screen shot and printed the account in here yesterday. I just want to have a back story should any negative attention from any kind of authority come my way. It's his word against mine, except I have documented accounts.

Thank you for mentioning the harassment act. I will slide under the radar but remember that if there's any further issues.

I'm OK this morning just doing my usual practical and proactive thing. I'm committed to house work today as nothing was done yesterday and... It Is RAINING! :D

    Onwards and upwards. :)

It's raining here too maximum temperature will be 20 today.

There is nothing I can add to what others have said fuddle. It's a good idea to keep a record of what he does and ignore him unless he does something illegal.

Actually I do think you have a case against the vendor when you purchased your house. Obviously everyone knew about the neighbour problems, it was the landlords sole reason for selling. Your vendor broke the law. If things reach an impossible stage you could sue the landlord.

Not had much sleep last few night due to people above. I'm going back to bed for a bit.

But doing that will not necessarily solve anything with the neighbours (and may make things worse), it will cost £££s and is only likely to create more stress and upset for Fuddle who wants to be able to just live her life in her own home in peace.

Grey skies and rain here, 16c. Fedup of the shoulder pain and have booked an appt with an osteopath in Peebles. Not prepared to wait 3 months to see if there is any improvement then go back to the consultant - by then my muscles will have seized up.
It has nothing at all to do with the fact that Peebles has the most excellent fish teas on the planet AND a sweetie shop ;)

Re bad neighbours - personally I had a lot of problems with a couple of mine when I first moved here. They basically piped-down eventually and I learnt several things:

    - be firm if need be (eg if they were trespassing in my garden)

    - ignore them as far as possible (don't speak to/don't look at/surround myself with "protective bubble" if I spot them) and look as confident as possible if I have to walk past them

    - I made sure that I wrote the police emergency number in my diary and had that and my mobile phone on me any time I had to walk past their houses until the harassment has basically eventually stopped. I never needed to phone the police in the event - as they'd obviously got it worked out just how far they could "push it" before I rang for help - but it was reassuring to have it on me

    - It made a noticeable difference once they could see I'd obviously made friends/was taking part in community groups (ie not a "woman on her own" so much any more).

    - I learnt rather a lot about the law as regards neighbours...just in case...

Rain - RAIN - forgotten what its looks like! Like Monna - its sweltering here and no let up in sight until maybe some showers forecast for Friday.
Fuddle - best thing to do with obnoxious neighbours is to ignore them,as has been said they purely want to provoke a reaction to justify themselves. Having had one of these who was absolutely vile its the only way to preserve your peace of mind.
Taking advantage of the weather DS & I took the boat out yesterday - only a little motor across the harbour to raft up with some friends. The ice cream man came round (yes! in his motor boat!!) so it was lovely to sit on a boat in the sunshine with an ice cream.
The tides are all late afternoon early evening this week so I really want to get out as much as possible. There have been such long gaps last year I've forgotten what I've learnt!
DH is being a love with watering the garden with WU water and whats left in the water butts - grass is brown though but it will recover.
Right off to brave the briny!
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Again I thank you all for your advice and support. Money I think you talk sense, be seen to laugh, smile and chat to neighbours as I do. Be confident, not shy away or put my head down but equally not do anything that they can pick up and use to make further problems.

Floss you're absolutely right. I just want peace. I'm not interested in money or taking on a fight. I'm beat y'know.
