NM I think it has been suggested before that you should write to your MP - they will contact the council on your behalf.

Yes I know but I don't have a printer now DS has left home. We had to buy one to apply for a house that we got turned down on. DS paid for it so he took it.

There is only the dustbin problem now which mean explaining at great length because no one believes it and the housing association just say can't do anything they just tell you off for dong it yourself. I need to write out all that has gone wrong. It's hopeless. I think they will just pass the letter on to the Housing association.

MPs do not "just pass the letter on to the Housing association".

Why not write your concerns about getting rehoused out in Word, then write it by hand? Or find out when & where your MPs surgery is held every month and go and speak to them face to face to ask for their help.

nm you sound too much like you're twirling around in a lost pit of despair. I do hope you have slept and you're able to brush yourself down a bit. Maybe focus on some positives in the here and now, even if all you can muster is to focus on how at least the noise levels have lessened. As far as the state of someone's life through drink, I understand from an emotional level only. My mam was quiet, private and hermit like. She caused problems only for herself, her owned home became neglected and I suffered only through concern, sadness and anger. As far as the neighbours were concerned my mam was a dream neighbour. Not all who drink are a nuisance.

Anyway nm I am recovering quite quickly and I wanted you to know that it is down to you that I got help early. Remember the beta blocker episode a few months back? Well you typed that an asthma attack was where a person has difficulty getting breath out. That stayed with me and I could identify what was going on. Thank you nm. :)

I am about to peel my tired self off the sofa. I couldn't sleep what with having steroids late on. I think the term is wired. But, but, but today is a good day. We're off to cart the children people off to MILs for the weekend (first time in 9months after a falling out) and DH and I are going to Harrogate. I have never been but I hear its pretty and quaint. So looking forward to being on our own relaxing and eating. Do you think how I was a kind wife letting him sleep in peace by removing my restless being to the sofa that I can wake him up at 6am o'clock on a Saturday morning to get the show on the road? :D

Thanks fuddle it is an important difference. I'm glad it helped. Go to Harlow Car Gardens not the town. Harlow Car Gardens was the highlight of my holidays as a child. I think you will find the town a bit pretentious though I recommend you go to Betty's tea rooms. You will find some nice cakes without wheat.

Have a lovely day. You need shoes for walking you will do a lot.

Morning all. I had a rotten day yesterday where modern life was concerned. I wrote 2 long posts on here, one in the morning and one later in the day and they both disappeared into the ether. Writing in edit is the only way forward, I have already lost another one this morning.
Then I tried my online banking only to be told that my privacy had been compromised and someone might have been trying to get into my account.
Yes they had. It was me. I mistakenly managed to get an App installed. Not being very computer literate, when the bank symbol appeared on my screen I thought it could be a quicker way of getting into my account, so clicked on it.
It was the app, which wanted all sorts hoops jumped through. I started the jumping process until it ground to a halt. Decided I didn't want the app anyway, but the damage had been done. Apparently I had been trying to hack into my own account. Now I can't get in anyway.

The last thing was my TV screen that suddenly froze. Nothing would get it going again and after about an hour of messing with various things it turned out to be the batteries in the remote control that had died.

I just may go back to scratching messages in the dust.

nm, enjoy your peace, whoever is providing it.

fuddle, have a lovely weekend. You deserve a bit of the high life.

Plenty of words nm. The universe obviously wants me to keep them to myself.

NM you should be able to email your MP.

Well there goes the new blacking, two hire boats full of drunken !!!!!s decided to have a race yesterday, they used the boats to push the lock gates open and then set of, engines at full rev. They caused damage to the boats moored on both sides of the cut.
I reported them to the hire boat company and to CRT. I also messaged ahead to warn other local boaters they were on the way.

Hire boats get bad press but to be honest this is the first time we've had a problem, we've hire boaters who've made mistakes or had problems but this pair were bloody dangerous.

Anyway it's moving day for us, we will fill up with fresh water, get our black water tank emptied and then look for somewhere to stay for the next few days.
    Chin up, Titus out.
