However no speeding today as we have broken down... and it wasn't me. OH and i were doing a lock and DS suddenly started going round in circles backwards and he and DD were then stranded... we knew they were safe so werent worried


Looks like ii is a cable problem so not our fault.

I've resorted to the gin... (after quite a lot of wine on sunday my eye rash flared up again so almost no wine for me)

MiOh Islandmaid - isn't it awful when we see our babes hurting and we can't do anything to alleviate it. We all know that time heals but it's such a hard lesson to learn when you've trusted someone completely. Give him a hug from me.
Nursie has given me a week's course of steroids - they usually do the trick! First lot taken and second lot in the morning so hopefully should kick in pdq.
Monna - the rally was on so we could moor in Newport on the Medina and listen to the festival but tbh not my cup of tea - been to plenty of festivals in the past so not bothered about missing this one. Glad you got your bank card sorted.
VJsMum - stick to the gin love! Sounds like me on my boat - round and round in ever decreasing circles ..........;)

Thanks again everyone, haven't been around much today, if you remember I am moving house so have spent a good part of day at bungalow and am now doing my washing. This is shared machines etc but I will have to get one for self pretty soon, I would rather not have to go to launderette, too expensive and never felt clothes as clean as they could be!
I too am clumsy! I remember when I had cataracts I kept knocking into people/ things and thought ah once eyes done it won't happen. Nah it's me, not my eyes!

islandmaid how utterly devastating for your son! Just be there for him, supporting him through his grief and anger. Right now he won't be ready to hear this, but he will get through it and come out the other side stronger, even if it feels like he's currently being ripped to shreds with hot knives. He will one day look back and think "whatever did I see in her?"

I believe this has happened at the right time, before he put a wedding ring on her finger. A lucky, lucky escape. You wait and see, a year or two from now and he will meet the right person for him. It grieves me that people can be so cruel to others like this.

He is obviously devastated, but has a good strong circle of friends, and us, of course.

As you have said, he will move on and look back with relief.

Oh Islandmaid, you hurt for them don't you? The poor soul must be devastated, you can just be there for him and listen when he wants to talk.

I remember when I used to like festivals!

I have just taken up yoga, at the start I just wanted to laugh but I'm getting there. I always think I am doing everything the instructor is doing but she seems to adjust my limbs with alarming regularity!

It hasn't rained all day, the sun has been shining and there's not a cloud in the sky now. I've cut the grass and done a bit of weeding, ready for an early night here.

Glad your bank card is sorted monna, it's amazing how we rely on these things.
