Well I have bought the cheapest new for old insurance today as my present one runs out tomorrow. Don't like the big increase but then I would not want to be without if our flats burn down tomorrow. I think there is an increased risk with these refugees. They don't seem to have any idea of risk to their kids.

I suspect the parents of the Elephants go out and leave them on their own.
They suddenly get as noisy as they were at the beginning and it stops a few hours later.

Pouff, Ivyleaf. Never mind what they look like, if the German shoes are comfortable get them. Comfort is all where shoes are concerned.
No, my kitchen is large but when the family moved out the rotters took their washing machine with them. DS2 is very good and takes all my bedding and towels to wash and dry them, but they are on noliday this week and I usually do all my clothes by hand in the sink. Not knowing how long I was going to be here I thought I would wait to get a new WM until I moved. Anyway, I don't really have the money till I've sold the house. It's manageable. It has been raining on and off all day here so my washing is draped over radiators, which are stone cold of course.

Softstuff and Islandmaid you are two evil people. Just wait till Hester gets back, she'll have something to say to you.

LameWolf, I must confess that I thought of you when I typed today's THOUGHT, and hid a smirk.
I am also one who can't just sit and watch TV. My friend used to say that I was the only person she knew who could watch TV, knit and do the crossword at the same time. My mother could as well.

If a strange woman suddenly crashes through the patio doors clutching a large magnet and clamps herself to Millie, I'll know who she is. Won't I Carolbee?

ETA Just my luck. Hester sneaks in while I'm busy typing. I think you were very restrained Hester. I'd have given those two reprobates what for.

Fuddle apparently if you take vitB complex for a couple of months before summer, they don't bite you. They only like some kinds of blood apparently. I'm O pos and they bite me to hell, the RV is type AB or something fancy and they never touch him!

Avon skin so soft (green label) is supposed deter little biters, not affiliated to them, but sprayed it regularly when we went to Corfu, and have zero bites, DH was like a dot-to-dot book :rotfl:

I hope it's OK that I just joined the new emergency forum Fuddle set up. I used to use MSE forums quite a lot, but had a few nasty posters make me feel diffident about posting with some not so nice PM's, so for ages now I've been a lurker who just reads.

I often lurk on here and feel I know you all from when I used to post and from enjoying what you all get up to on this thread.

I've had a very hard few years with cancer myself, then DH had prostate cancer, then DH and one of my DS were burnt in a fire, so I find this a very cosy place to be and I got a bit scared when I read about the worries that it could disappear, so I joined the new place just in case.

Apparently Avon have changed their formula for SSS and it isn't the great product it once was.

Gosh monna, how do you manage? I would be lost without my WM.

I think the automatic washing machine is the best appliance ever invented though I would not like to go back to not having a vacuum cleaner!

Warm and humid here, there have been black rain clouds hanging around all day, but not a drop of the wet stuff.

LW......virtual hugs flying your way, roll on Saturday.

Time for a cool shower methinks.
