Absolutely I agree fuddle. I sometimes don't post for a day or two because the subject is just N/A to me and I don't know anything about the subject. I keep wishing someone would change the subject.



I can't remember who asked "how do you remember everything to reply" I make notes on the back of an envelope so not extensive, when the thread has gone on to the next page. Otherwise you just look back.

If it goes down then it goes down I suppose. Even if we did sort out another forum, probly nobody would use it as long as this one was here, and it would lapse. I used to hate FB with a passion but then I joined and found closed groups and secret groups, now I spend most of my online time over there.

You know ivyleaf. I did that with my mum after my dad died. We spent a few hours of me reading out names and her saying I'm not in contact with them any more she's dead, he was your dads friend. There was practically nothing but crossed out address when we had finished. She was also going blind so I bought her a new address book and wrote everything in large letters.



I have just been and crossed out the dead and those I have lost touch with in my address book.

My goodness, things are getting complicated. Fuddle darling, your comment about something being easily managed by the technically challenged, or words to that effect, filled me with horror. I wouldn't know where to begin. I don't speak computer.
Anyway, I am still going to send my email address to a few people so that if something changes they can contact me and tell me what to do. A few people have my details already so I will just spread it a little further and cross my fingers that we never need to use Plan B, whatever it turns out to be.

So many people coming out of the woodwork. Welcome, all of you. If you have been lurking for a while you will know what you are in for, so we won't have to go into explanations and excuses. Not that there is any excuse for some of the things we get up to. You will also have gathered that however much we banter with each other, the affection is very real. So come in and have a big group hug, except for LameWolf, our love for her is cerebral rather than physical so please respect that.

What a lovely day this has turned out to be, sunshine wall to wall and I have got quite a lot accomplished. I do wish that I could work out why I wake up some days and can hardly drag myself out of bed and at other times I'm alert, clear thinking and ready to move mountains, or at least a few small stones. I've gone back over the previous day, what I've done, what I've eaten, how I've slept, but nothing seems to make any difference. Ah well, one of the great mysteries of life I guess.

I've been ages writing this so I bet that by the time I get to post this, a dozen other posts will have appeared. Let's just see.

I think this sounds like a good backup plan. I'd like the link. Perhaps we could add it to the first post of the thread. Obviously that wouldn't stop trolls coming, but they wouldn't have any personal details and it would mean shy lurkers could find us. I too don't think these boards are going anywhere, at least without warning, but it would be useful to have a backup in place already.
