I have book marked the emergency thread provided by Fuddle, thanks Fuddle.
I have been feeling happier lately, the sunshine has been wonderful for me. Mind it seems to have gone AWOL the last couple of days. The rain isn't all bad though, I did mange to slowly get some plants in the garden and they have now had a thorough soaking to keep them nice for the birds who are eating them. Excuse me those veg were supposed to be for me!
I have been slowly shortening and altering the clothes I got in the charity shop last week. I am currently trying to make a pair of summer flares into straight leg trousers. My sewing machine, given to me second or third hand 25+ years ago has finally come to the end of it's life and I am hoping that my first ever new machine will arrive tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to using it. I hope to finish altering last weeks purchases and then look for more to adapt.

Meantime OH who is at least as OS as I am has taken the old machine to his man cave (the garage) to strip it of anything that might possibly be used to fix something else in the next 30 years.

A million thanks for sorting that Fuddle. We all seem to be catching on quickly and I feel much easier in my mind now we have a back up in place. A couple of days ago when the thread disappeared yet again I went straight into panic stations.at the thought I might never find you all again.

This has also had the added bonus of finding that we have more friends than we knew of. Lovely to see you all.

Polly, so sorry you have had a difficult time. Lots of gentle hugs x.

    Morning all,

I've given you all a wave over at the emergency board. Now I'm just waiting for OH to get up so we can start his birthday weekend. I've sorted a waffle recipe without too much fat and bought posh fruit yesterday to go on top. We'll try the chicken sausages (although I've now found several places that do reduced fat pork) and then later we'll go into town for a bit of shopping and some lunch at a 'healthy' cafe that breaks down the nutrition on all their food.

We'll have chicken fajitas tonight, OH's request, but probably without cheese. I'll have to see how breakfast and lunch tot up.

Polly, sorry to hear about the painful shoulder.
Emptynester, I hope you love your new machine. I remember when mum got a new one after more than 30 years with her old one and loved not having to mess about with the tension all the time.
Nursemaggie, you'll have to register. It will ask for an email address, a name and a password. It will then send you an email with a long key you'll have to enter and then you're in.

Right. I'm famished so I'll have to have a snack before OH gets up :rotfl:

Hugs to all who need them.x

Thanks Fuds - got a new tablet yesterday so will be in when I've got all my other accounts sorted! Been catching up - how lovely that so many of our lurkers have come out of the woodwork ;) we can always make room on our fence and rustle up more cake ;)
Finally using my Christmas voucher from DH today for a full massage and a facial - will enjoy the massage but don't think the facial will make much difference lol.
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Has anyone else noticed that on our posts we've lost our medals, and our individual number of posts has magicked itself to a nice consistent 1,000...for each of us?! I know i've got nearly 5,000 posts on my profile but that now looks to have been made into a uniform 1,000 for anyone viewing the board.

Methinks the pixies at MSE Towers have been fiddling again...
