Fuddle a cheapy plastic chopping board is just as good...or use an ironing board - its the right width to get the final result if you put the garment neck to the point front down (IYSWIM!)

I tend to roll my garments. They stay pretty much crease free and you can get more in a drawer.

I 'Konmarie' fold mine. Using the bed as a flat surface.

Nice to see new people popping up from the woodwork... especially if they bring cake (i am not currently eating cake, but virtual cake is non-fattening I hear)..

Fuddle,I hardly hang anything - my 'half' of the wardrobe is probably only a third of the wardrobe. I have about 6 dresses and 2 jackets in it. Everything else gets folded into drawers. But I don't actually have that many clothes. My 'working at home' clothes (as a full time student, I spend a lot of time working at home) are jeans / chinos / shorts depending on weather, t shirt (long or short sleeve depending on weather) and a hoody or cardy (depending on weather). For uni days or interviewing people for my research I wear smart plain chinos or trousers, shirt and cardi or a dress. I don't really have much in the way of 'going out' clothes as i only 'go out' to local pubs and restaurants for meals, so I may put on a nicer top or tunic with a skirt, or leggings or trousers. Whilst i am not quite 'capsule' wardrobe, i bet I have somewhere between 50 - 70 items.

I am in Wales today and it's very overcast - was hoping for a walk later but the weather is not looking promising.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    I don't have a wardrobe I have 3 hooks on the wall and 2 drawers that measure 17 x 19 x 8 inches.
I have 3 dresses, 6 per leggings, 3 long sleeve t-shirts 3 short sleeved t-shirts, 2 tops, 2 hoodies and 10 prs knickers, I managed with this when I was working though I have now retired.
    Chin up, Titus out.

Thanks Fuddle.....have been over and checked in and now waiting at the departure gate. Hopefully, flight will be cancelled for the time being.
I agree with VJ's.......my clothes tend to be casual as people don't dress up any more. Was talking about this yesterday, only leggings, tunics, jeans and few summer dresses.
hate it if I get invited to anywhere "dressy" as don't feel comfortable.
BTW I seem to remember VJs saying she would post pics of her new room.
Did I miss them?? I love a good nosey

    Here you go Fuds...

I use the ironing board for clothes folding. Years ago I lived with a boyfriend who'd been in the Navy. The armed forces discovered minimalism and making your entire kit fit into small spaces way before anyone else did :rotfl: He taught me the art of clothes folding and I have to admit when it comes to space restricted situations such as suitcase packing, it's handy to know.

A lot of my clothes left the building half way through the injured leg saga when I discovered that I was VERY allergic to polyester. I'm happy to report that the rash that had plagued me for the last 6 years went too. I thought for a long time that it was food related and it sort of was. It was worse if I ate anything that I was sensitive to, but generally speaking I'm done with it now thank goodness. Anything containing sulphites and too many eggs at once still leave me feeling a bit rough but other than that, all's good :)

Floss everything looks normal to me.

I did register last night for the Pro board.

Now it's between the fruit cake and the flapjack, As I bought a fruit cake in Ald! I better have the flapjack.

monna you will have to reduce that lot otherwise you will end up having to buy a 4 bedroom house to keep it all. You must need at least 2 dressing rooms.I have sorted mine differently. They're sorted according to what they are.

Thick cardigans are hung up and thinner ones are all together in a huge draw along with a few tops that can be folded and all the things that can't be categorised. Jumpers are according to weight. Favourites are are all on top of each pile. The bottom of each pile is the ones that could go but CS don't want jumpers at this time of year.

All my other tops are hung in the wardrobe. Hats and gloves are in one of the draws under my store cupboard. I decided I needed another chest of draws or a dressing table. When I had a look online I couldn't find anything I liked that did not cost and arm and a leg.

We have a chest of draws next to the dresser behind the sofa. Where you can't really see it. It's pine and has gone very orange. So when DS comes for his dinner tomorrow he will have to start moving furniture. I will then have to start sorting it all again. I am thinking of calling a charity shop to get them to take some stuff away. It's going to take too may trips to the CS of my choice. It's up hill all the way. There must be at least 4 trolley loads. My trolley is enormous.

I now have two pieces of furniture that need painting. The little bookcase with space for tall books and the orange chest of draws.

most of my trousers are hung up in the wardrobe but need a draw for all the lounging around in the house. I don't keep old clothes for the house any more. I'm including my PJ's as lounging around.

fuddle Go in a big Pr*mark in the last hour before they close and you will find hundreds of girls folding things like mad. There folding tables are not that different to an ironing board. They even adjust for height. Go and watch them you will soon learn how to fold. I do think rolling is probably your solution but you do need deep draws.

I must go out and get something for dinner tomorrow.
