silva sava Mooring in the middle sounds horrendously difficult  I always wonder how on earth people manage it!

silver-oldie Don't worry about rambling, we all do it! :)

    burtha thinking of you x

Nargleblast and maryb Hope your OHs have a good day xx

Not sure what we'll do today - OH was talking yesterday about trimming the hedge beside the house, which will at least make it easier for next door to pull their bins out for emptying and for me to put them back. (Their DD often has to leave for work before the bin men arrive.)
As for me, I really need to do a bit of digging in an attempt to get rid of creeping buttercup in the little front border, but I really don't want to because i know i'll be hardly able to move tomorrow if i dig

Feeling a bit weepy today. Brought on by something really stupid. I had to put fuel in the car which DH normally does and I could not remember where the lever inside the car for unlocking the petrol cap cover was located. There was a long queue and people were getting cross as I was frantically trying to dig through the manual - why do they never have things under the letter you think it should be under?

Trying to pull myself together because this is not about me But my mind is racing with things I have to try and see to and it's hard to stay calm and just plug on

if you'd like to come over and remove the hornet from my stove that would be fabulous LW :) I heard a funny noise, opened the door saw something GIGANTIC covered in ash (I've been burning smokeless recently) and shut the door and the vents pretty swiftly. I'm guessing it's a queen looking for somewhere to nest that has got down the chimney. She'll have to get out somehow anyway to fetch nesting material, but I'm a bit nervous about opening it again!

I like hornets, and wasps as well as bees, as long as they nest somewhere out of the way... like LW I feel that inside the house is pushing it...
Sorry greenbee I don't do wasps or hornets. I know for a fact I am allergic to wasp venom, so I exit the room sharpish and leave those to Mr LW to deal with.
However I was actually talking to the bee, if you can believe it - "Come on sweetie, there's nothing for you in here, you need to stay outdoors. Look, there's loads of flowers on the rosemary, why don't you go there?" Mad, or what?? :D
I have tried to write several posts and then deleted them.

I don't have the eloquence so many of you have, I just ramble.

I wanted to say Lamewolf, please never stop posting.

No matter what your DNA you are a strong kind loving thoughtful person.

You have made me realise I am not the only 'different' one, thank you.
Awww (((HUG))) you and I seem to be very much alike in some ways; I often write a post, re-read it, think "nah, I can't post that" and delete it.

Maryb amazing that they thought your DH could shave without a mirror. I'm glad you were able to solve the problem; I bet he felt heaps better for it.

I'd struggle to put petrol in the car, too - it's something Mr LW always does *note to self - find out how to do it*.

I'd guess you're feeling the stress of doing all the everyday things your DH usually does, and feeling something's missing because he's not there to do them; so I can understand you feeling weepy.

Impatient people not cutting you a bit of slack doesn't help, either.

Not long now til they discharge him; it'll be better once he's home, I'm certain. (That's how I felt after Mr LW was in the horse-piddle for four days a while back anyhow).

I've washed every curtain in the bungalow today; so that's a nice chunk off my spring-cleaning list.

Hoping to do a bit more gardening today - I just have to be careful not to overdo it though; I can't afford a three-day lupus "breakdown" as we leave for our holiday on Friday.
I am getting so very nervous, too (I always get the jitters before going away) so trying to keep myself distracted.

Sorry, I'm rambling now (see SO I can ramble, too :D ) so I shall shut up and get back to work. ;)

MaryB - big hug! Its always something trivial that manages to trigger emotions. You've had an enormous shock and dealt with it valiantly - DH is now on the mend and thats when the emotions kick in.
You will rise to the challenge and manage but just for now try to relax for a bit and enjoy some of the sunshine with a cuppa xx

Thank you! I'm a bit better now. With it being bank holiday I could park at the local station so that saved me having to walk in the heat. Though on other days the 25 minute walk has helped. Trains very disrupted because of an accident but fortunately Denmark Hill is the one station they are stopping at

I won't have to rush around so much once he is home

maryb ,Silvasava has put it very well indeed. It was a terrible shock but you held it together, and now your mind's decided it's time to relax to an extent and have a little cry. Thinking of you x

LW You are a sweetie :A
  • MARY you've been strong and coping since the shock of the hospital keeping hubby in pet, you can't keep a lid on emotions forever and that box you shut them in while you're dealing with what HAS to be dealt with only stays closed for a finite period so it was an inevitability that at some point when you knew he's going to be fine you'd have a wobble and I think it's good to do so, diffuses stress levels wonderfully. You just look after you too love and don't let the unimportant things get to you! You're doing the best job and no one could ask more of you. Deep breath, and off you go again xxx.

Big hugs for MaryB. You're doing brilliantly.
