silvasava! Unlucky to have happened but so very lucky for it to have happened the way it did. Look after yourself.0

Stoozie1, it's the Lorna Jane brand, though I have to say, by now I've tried on about 40 of their range, 4 fit. The one I have for work is from the Lorna Jane active essentials range, the comfort sports bra. It's available in the uk here: https://lornajane.co.uk/collections/active-essentials-range/products/lb0132_w but for some reason is 1/3 dearer than buying it in Aus. I understand if you sign up to their newsletter you'd get 20% off, but still...

Silva, how scary for you.
Blue sky and sunny here today, I'm taking my car to the garage today for a replacement headlight bulb.
I want to make some jam but the boat is leaning far too badly, it's bad enough staggering around with a kettle of boiling water, I'm not risking it with boiling jam.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Silva - thank goodness you're ok.
Waiting in for the valuer to come and look at the family home. Fingers crossed it will be what nsdh is expecting - although he will be told right rapidly if he has a hissy fit.
I have a tentative completion date of 9 May for the new house - need to hassle the solicitor in a bit.
I have caught up on a couple of weeks posts last night - didn't even realise the thread had gone awol.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Silvasaver how terrifying. So glad no one was hurt.
I have been reading along. Nothing of interest to report I am afraid but I am trying to behave myself, rest and wait for this latest fracture to heal. I am trying to come up with an alternative plan for my future. I am not going to be anywhere near as fit, strong and able as I always assumed I would be. The blessing is that I get the chance to have sometime for me whilst I expected to be working. The challenge is re adjusting to what I am going to be able to do physically and finding things I enjoy, can afford, and being here for my DH who is still working. Not a whinge, just an update. A challenge is meant to be good for us isn't it.
Please bear with me. Going forward I hope to be able report some activity.

Silvasaver I'm surprised you are not feeling totally shaken today after that. I sounds horrifying. You were so lucky to have no injuries. It just shows how well built modern cars are. I hope you get a good payout on your insurance.
thriftmonster sounds like you will be moving on the same day as my DS.
Hester I would not make jam on a boat can't you do it at one of your DDs?0 -
Hi All
Grr bloomin trains delayed all over the place...
Silvasalva  glad you're ok, but goodness you'll be shocked.
Day 3 of diet - the day most diets fail.... But i am doing ok. Yesterday was a fast day - I was travelling so had chia pudding for breakfast, a light salad and prawns with courgetti (except it was carrot and cabbage-etti instead). It was ok and i slept well.
Today travelling again and i had the full english on the train(but no toast) and more chia pudding with berries and nuts for lunch. Chia pudding isn't quite in the 'whole 30' spirit but the ingredients are and... I'm a rebel..:p
We paid the fee for our council to take our huge desk away and put it out on Monday for collection today - but someone else took it yesterday :rotfl: So the council gained £17 for nothing... s0d's law says if we'd just put it out no-one would have taken it.
Re: bras - I am a really small cup size, 36B which are also quite (but not VERY) rare. I have never been bothered about being small boobed (well, not since I was about 14) it makes things so much easier. Even when breastfeeding I was only a C cup..
I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Silva how awful! I'm just glad you're ok; do take it steady for a few days, whiplash doesn't always manifest immediately (take it from one who knows).
Re bras: I'm not particularly difficult size-wise... BUT I need front fastening, and cannot get anything I like at a price I can afford from my PIP money anywhere. For some years now I have been having to rely on Mr LW to fasten/unfasten for me, and I'm really, really fed up with it. I mean, I learned to dress myself when I was three years old, so it's humiliating having to have help dressing. I can't even put it on back-to-front and twizzle it round, as my fingers are too arthritic to do that.
Is it too much to ask to have front-fastening, in pretty colours (I hate white bras with a passion) at an affordable price?
Sorry, that turned into a bit of a rant.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I'm now down to 32H now but was 34K bra size last year. Bras are the one thing that I have to spend decent dough on and even then they're restrictive and uncomfortable anything less though and the freer boobage becomes uncomfortable!
I surprised myself today. I went to a yoga class. Very far out of my comfort zones but I just wanted to interact with other people without having to interact with other people! Get your head round that one haha. No, I have been feeling stronger and wanted to do something for my mind and my strength but something that was safe for the recovering ticker. I told the instructor and I'm to stay on beginner level until I see the cardiologist again and get the all clear.
Inters sting fact from her. Most of the caffeine from green tea is released in the first minute so chuck that cup away and continue to steep a second cup. It makes sense but will I also be chucking away most of the beneficial ones antioxidants as well. Need to research!
Potatoes have topped (so relieved they're growing not rotted) so earthed them up (slowly with my hand trowel, no heaving hoeing here) and will keep them well hidden for the next few weeks. I will I don't want the frost on them! My apple tree is beginning to open up it's buds. That's the newsreel today folks!
