Fuddle sometimes that kind of doctor is the best kind - they've seen more and dealt with more, for many years. I've got a good feeling about this one! xx

Mar honeybun, I'd gladly send you cake, it would make a change from jellybabies, but is your postman delivering? I really can't see him bravely struggling through storm and tempest to deliver fudgey brownies to Mar, however desperate she is.

The faithful hound is sleeping it off in her bed on my bedroom floor, still avoiding eye contact.
She did approach me rather sheepishly just now and enquired casually if it was nearly dinner time. I told her that she must be joking, at which she slunk back to her bed.

Why have our posts, once posted, developed the habit of joining some letters together, 'th' for instance, and putting a space between others where no space should be? Is it the MSE gremlins at it again?

ETA. Have I rumbled them? It doesnt seem to have happened this time.

    Ah. Spoke too soon.

Not seen anybody from the outer world since Tues monna. No postman no milkman no school bus driver no nobody. First time I do see a live one I'm going to mug them in case they've got anything worth eating!

I can't imagine you'll get much worth eating off the school bus driver... but the schoolkids might have sweeties :dance:

fuddle I found beta blockers made me tired to start with, but it wore off after a few weeks, so don't panic if the same happens to you :)

Thanks for that Ivy - started mine yesterday so it's good to be forewarned although I must admit I do read all the patient safety leaflets!

I just can't get over how it is possible to relax. Try as I might I never experience true relaxation and the feeling is lovely. :o

fuddle, I think that together we might make one well balanced person. I spend my whole life in a state of deep relaxation. My problem is getting up enough oomph to force myself into action. Do they do anti-beta blockers?

After yesterday's non-shenanigans I suppose I had better stir my stumps. Most of the snow and black ice seems to have disappeared, just lethal patches left to catch out those who are not concentrating. I think I will potter up to the shop to see if they've anything left. I would like a newspaper and some eggs, but neither of them are essential so no matter, but I do need some fresh air.

    THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Children need to take responsibility for their actions, so that they don't grow up to be adults believing that nothing is ever their fault.

I hope they'll make you feel better too. I was put on them due to rapid heart rate - it was lower than fuddle's has been but still much faster than it should be. It's 80 bpm now, which is acceptable.

We seem to have a gradual thaw here this morning and the current temperature on the landing (coldest part of the house) is 12 degrees this morning, as opposed to 8 degrees at the same time yesterday :T I had umpteen layers on yesterday even though the heating was working fine - I just couldn't get warm.
