I'm neither posh nor worthy and I dare not roll up a trouser leg for lack of a cheap, disposable razor [STRIKE] I just cba to shave my legs:D[/STRIKE] which means I may well scare the heffalumps/frogs/crocodiles/ducks (the list gets longer ) unnecessarily :o

    Hope I won't be un-fenced  ;)

Nargleblast Next time you go to the foot of any stairs please choose mine . Henry will be waiting with a smile on his little blue face . Treat him kindly and remember to thank him .
I'm about to wend my way to bed so will wish you all a good night and a return to what passes for normal here tomorrow .
I will be back later tomorrow ( Stop groaning at the back!)
Hope to see you then unless Mar is brushing up on " Lord of the Flies" I luckily will be elsewhere during the daytime so will escape the possible carnage . I can happily talk to myself should you all have disappeared in the direction of her stove , in fact I feel I've been talking to myself for some time , no one is listening .
Meanwhile lest you all be gone , a little song .
Sadly you are unable to hear my dulcet tones described by one of my aunts when I was four years old as a cinder under a door . Who doesn't love that sound .
Here we go , Train whistle blowing makes a sleepy noise . Underneath their blankets go all the girls and boys .
Rocking , rolling , riding out along the bay .
All bound for Morningtown many miles away .
    You know the rest .
And now polly has finally left the building :D

    Sleep tight
    polly x
    Hugs to Burtha.

There but for fortune go you and I.

I'm now so confused I've completely lost the plot. It's a waking nightmare in a Daliesque zoo - send help!

My Nan used to say that and, when us kids wouldn't stop talking she would say, 'You must have been vaccinated with a gramophone needle" (of course I don't remember those ;) )
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

Hi all, shattered tonight , had a glass of cider ,first drink in a long time ... needed it , trying to sort out out what money will be available to me in the future ... The joy of benefit checking ... not able to get anything till house is sold , unless things get worse ... One week at a time for now
didn't even know about things like gingerbread , so thank you ... will see where that takes me ..
Just keep saying the same thing to kids , I don't have the answers yet , but we will be OK and get there together , look for housing together , decide together ... t will be OK
Darling dh came today , had to deal with dd having a breakdown , appears he told her that he was sorry and he loved her , then rang eldest dd to help ...
Sounds hard but glad he has seen her in melt down , hope he can sleep at night ... idiot
anyone got a magic wand they can lend me ... or fancy making a few potions ( no assumption lady's )
Haven't been in tears today ... 1st in over 3 weeks , getting my act together , will remain dignified and get kids through this . One day soon ,he will realise what he done , but probably after the kids realise they don't need him ... scary .

On the other news front , dil to be has had her 20 week scan , all well . Half way there .
And the pup .... well .....only 2 toilet issues today ... and a bit of a yo yo on a lead, but she will learn

So we all told you how brilliantly you were doing burtha, and you didn't believe us did you? But look! A whole day without tears! That won't happen too often yet but the tearless days will gradually, (so gradually that you will hardly notice it) get more and more until a couple of years down the line you will suddenly think that you haven't cried for a week or more.
As Winston Churchill said, "This is not the end, its not even the beginning of the end, but it just may be the end of the beginning."

It's all very well for your dh to tell your DD that he's sorry and he loves her, but what he really meant probably was, he is sorry that she is upset and he does love her but not enough to put her first. She will recover because she has you and her siblings looking out for her. If his life hits the skids, who will be rallying round to comfort him and help him put himself back together again? I cant imagine that too many people will be rushing round to make him feel better about himself.

Time to get another day under your belt, flower. Love, light and choccy biscuits to you.

As for the rest of you nutcases, where DO you get your crazy ideas from? Thank goodness that there are still a few voices spouting sense and reason. Mentioning no names but staring hard into the mirror.
