Sleep well Karcher. There's not enough sleep in the world to make me into a beauty :rotfl:xx

Evening all - fuddle - no way are we going without you! All power to you for your appeal for DD. Hope the asthma review went well. Our practice nurse changed my asthma inhalers a couple of weeks ago as I was still puffing after the 'orrible virus. I have improved and she was pleased but she still wants to see me in 4 weeks but said if there's not much improvement over the next 2 weeks she wants me to go back to re-assess. She's certainly keeping an eye on me!!!
Babs - spookily I bought a new deck brush today and it's got a swivel head so you can do the sides of the boat from on deck too - it's quite posh as the handle extends and it's a rather fetching pale blue. (Don't think it's quite what L***land expected it to be used for but it was about a quarter of the price of a 'yachty' one) so I do hope it will be acceptable to you as I'm sure you have very high standards (just like the rest of us)

Well it's been a long time since I had a swivel head but I'll try anything twice! Pale blue will remind me of my kitchen so I accept your kind gift. Thank you.

If my standards were any lower I'd be with Davy Jones but cleaning wise I am a bit of a perfectionist, tho as you can see not on the spelling front :D

I've had a quick read through to see what's what on the Good Ship Lollipop today but feel pretty exhausted so am following karchers example and having an early night. Fuddle, you go girl! In my day children went to the nearest school to their home. It seemed to make sense not to transport children hither and thither, clogging up the roads and making children into tired little commuters. Children used to walk to school, walk home at lunchtime, walk back to school and walk home at the end of the day. And they used to do this with their friends who lived round them.
Anyway fuddle, you stick to your guns.

MMF I do admire you for taking on learning to paint. I don't think that it matters one iota what the end result is as long as you are enjoying it, and you obviously are. Personally I've never yearned to paint, but I would love to be able to draw, just pencil drawings, mostly of people's faces. Unfortunately it is a bit like me and music, I adore it but can't do it. I did get 'O' level art though. Goodness knows how.

Ivyleaf, no, I still haven't tackled the Venetian blinds. Unfortunately they are the sort that don't fully close one way. I will get there though.

I recall Silvsava and babs and something about swively heads. I think I'll just leave you two to play.

How are the noisy neighbours nursemaggie? Any news on the house front yet?

    If I've missed anyone, apologies.

The viewing went well. She went round the house with the estate agent, and Millie in close attendance who was obviously making quite sure that she didn't make off with the spoons. Lots of enthusiasm but we've been here before.

I've also made tomorrow's pudding for lunch club. My friend is casseroling beef in her Aga tonight. It looks as though it may be just the two of us tomorrow doing everything from putting up the tables to the washing up. Lots of illness, people away and suchlike.
Never mind. My friend is 75, about 4ft 10ins with a recent hip replacement, but I can tell you, strong men quail when she is on the warpath. We'll manage.

You sound a formidable pair, monnagran! I love the mental picture of Millie making sure the viewer and estate agent behaved themselves :D

I'm making a brief appearance this morning as I'm off soon to catch the early bus into Ryde . My trusty shopping trolley is already packed with the puddings, my pinny, my favourite potato peeler, my kettle (the church boiler is on the blink again) and a few paracetamol, just in case.

If I'm still in one piece will see you this evening.

    THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Well, another day has passed and I still didn't use algebra once.

I wanna see monna in her pinny. :D

What a day here. Eldest DD is getting a temporary brace in two weeks. She'll have that for a year to strengthen something (DH took her, his memory is terrible. I had him take a note book but the poor fella can't write and process information at the same time) then she'll get the fixed one. She's very happy as she would rather have the metal than a jaunty tooth. I don't know if ever I said but she's had problems with it since she fell at the age of two. 'everyone has braces mam, I'm not bothered' So different than my day.

I also have other news. Last week I had the results of my recent echocardiogram. I knew then that the valve had righted itself and it's function was within normal range. My heart failure was down to the stress of the infection and not it's normal function. I was so relieved but I kept it to myself because I knew that there 'was a weakness within wall of the heart'. My GP didn't seem too concerned but referred me to the heart nurse today. She has explained that my heart is a little stressed. It can't cope with the flow of blood entering it. My blood pressure is fine but my heart rate is always high. I'm to remain under her care and I'm being referred to a cardiologist. This isn't as serious as the valve issue but I will likely need, if not now in time, medication to slow down my heart because if it continues to work so fast it will cause me problems in the future. I am really ok. I knew there was something wrong with it and now I know what I can work with that. I see the respiratory consultant in 2 weeks where I will get the antibody results for suspected immunity issues. It's slowly coming together piece by piece my friends.

School appeal? I'm not looking at that at all today but I will get the form off tomorrow.

Fuddle - pleased that your concerns have been addressed and you now have the heart professionals involved for ongoing care and monitoring.
Braces in this house are 'mouth jewelley'
School appeal - mentally get that pinny on and the rolling pin to hand girl - you're a woman, you can do it!!

Monna - still algebraless?? Who knew ;)

Struggling with tiredness today but cheered up by you lot. Got the 24hr BP thingy on that keeps beeping and going inflatable always at the wrong time lol. We have nice blue skies in between snow showers, and I'm trawling round perfume and makeup sites - not being very MS!

Mar look at The Perfume Shop - I got 100ml of DH's Armani aftershave for £39 instead of £59 yesterday ;) Think their sale may finish today though...
