I have FINISHED editing my book. Where's the mopping your brow emo, or the throwing the hat in the air one? It is all packed up and ready to be posted back to the author tomorrow.
    .

    Congratulations Monna :T

Tired again now so I shall wish you all a sleep filled, peaceful night:)

Thank you all once again x

Huh! You must all be asleep. No one to play with at all.

I got into bed at about 8ish and must have fallen asleep almost immediately because I woke up at 12ish with the lights still on and my book still in my hand. Swithched everything off, went back to sleep and at 1.30 Millie reminded me that I hadn't forced her out into the garden before we went to bed. I'm hoping that I may drift off again before morning.

nursemaggie, I used to have one of those gadgets, years ago but found them a bit of a faff. You run it along the slats but when you get to the cord you have to take it out, slot it all back in, until you get to the next cord and repeat.
These blinds are worse because they are very tiny slats, the window is so wide there are two of them side by side, so there are loads of them.

I'm sure you all wanted to know that.
'll stop now before I've sent you all back to sleep with boredom.

    See you later on.

Is that what you meant to say?? Either way, it is rather appropriate. :rotfl:

Lol thanks for pointing that out predictive text has a lot to answer for as I'm sure Monna will testify to

Monna close the blinds & wipe them down with a damp cloth. Open & close them the other way and repeat.

NM - what an excellent idea to help get rid of the scourge of plastic - thank you. There is a company in New Zealand that turns ALL plastics into housebricks by a form of steam and compression and the Landrover BAR team are using a special type of bucket to get rid of plastic and other rubbish from the sea. Looks like there are some really inovative and practical solutions to this pollution.
Karcher - glad you are improving and that you are going to give yourself time to recover properly.
Furrybeast - you've been so strong so don't let your relatives spoil what you have achieved. Sending you strength vibes
Monna - nobody died of dusty Venetian blinds ( or of cobwebs festooning the vertical blinds where DH keeps the window open) Well done on finally finishing the book edit

Floss, that is a brilliant idea. I will give it a try and report back. Maybe today, maybe sometime else. Who knows?

Unsurprisingly nothing has happened since my last post in the early morning. To save you any more of my fatuous ramblings I will go and think about doing something more useful. This may take some time?

    I think I'm having what's called a relapse.

I slept ok but I feel awful again this morning :(

No going back to work for me!

  • Lots of the boats I clean have Venetian blinds I do what Floss suggested, then I rub some dust on the blind cleaning tool that the boat owner wants me to use!

The stove went out overnight so it's cold this morning and it's taken me over an hour to persuade it to relight.

I'm girding up my loins to find something useful to do today, my tablet prefers grinding my loins, it obviously knows me well!
But I still love the ligature at the end of the tunnel, there are times when I'd like a ligature round my ex's neck.

Ha, Karcher. What did we tell you? get back to bed and stay there.

Hester. I am also girding my loins - from a recumbent posture and a mug of coffee beside me to assist with the girding.

Oh blimey, I couldn't find our thread and thought we'd been deleted.

Huge *sigh* of relief when I did by looking at my past posts.

I really am losing the plot!
