Oh yes nannywindow Now we know why there is an epidemic on.
I don't think she really had the flu you can't get out of bed if you do can you karcher?0 -
Nursemaggie I totally agree with you. People these days no longer seem to have the common cold etc. it's always " the flu ".
I understand that some people just have to go to work, as perhaps they will not get paid if they stay off sick. That's why I made a quick exit. I do not want to be sick as my DH has a very low immune system due to cancer and diabetes etc. and I don't want to pass on any illness to him. So I am very aware of anyone coughing and spluttering and make a detour.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -

NM I actually feel quite fortunate as whilst I am sure I had flu I know it could have been far worse. I had 3 days when I really could not move and sipping water was a struggle and for me being sick is a huge trauma. Once the raging temperature past, whilst still feeling awful, I could begin to function at some level. I am not known for asking for help and for me to call on a neighbour is unheard of, but I needed help and I am so grateful he did. I posted on here when I could muster the energy as I didn't want you all worrying but also because it was reassuring knowing you were all there

Hi ever body something I am sure your will all agree is really important. Take a look at this as soon as you can. Like a lot of TED talks it is a guy boasting about what he has done, but this one hopefully we will soon be able to join in.

Sorry the first URL was far too long I had to go ask TED.
sorry again just put into the box that comes up " what if you could turn plastic trash into cash and they will give you the correct one. David Katz is the one.0 -

Evening all.
I don't know! What with people getting their just deserts and struggling towards the ligature at the end of the tunnel I think I've strayed into Lola land. You see? You've got me doing it now, but I blame tablet. That should have been l a l a land.
I am feeling a bit tender about spelling etc. as this morning I looked at the grubby Venetian blinds, though "bleh!" and looked for a displacement activity. And found one.
I have FINISHED editing my book. Where's the mopping your brow emo, or the throwing the hat in the air one? It is all packed up and ready to be posted back to the author tomorrow. Much more fun than standing on a step ladder with dirty soapy water trickling down your arms trying to clean blinds.
karcher, glad other people are ticking you off as well. If anyone from work questions your absence you must tell them that you have been told that its either take a good 2 weeks off now or 2 months further down the line, the choice is theirs. No need to let them know who told you this.
FBO. you probably won't even see this, but if you do, remember that you are a strong, brave lady, and you owe no one an apology or an explanation.
I'm wandering off now but may catch up with someone in the middle of the night.

D'you know, it never even made it to the list. I'll do ANYTHING to avoid a job I don't want to do,
I'm still grinning about your ex who didn't even know where his children went to school. If he was driving for an hour he must have visited every school on the island. There aren't that many.I believe that friends are quiet angels

monna I like your last line. Did you know you can buy a tool to clean blinds? It does both sides at once.
When I first saw it I thought I might even buy Venetian blinds again. I say "again", I have not actually bought any without them being attached to the house I was buying.
I believe you can buy the blind cleaning tool at L*keland or probably Am*zon as they sell everything else but cars and houses.0
