Oh dear, my OH went through a really bad phase of snoring a few years ago and was referred to the sleep Clinic. they decided he had sleep apnoea, but not badly enough to need treatment! thankfully it eventually got better on its own, but i really feel for you maryb.
In other news, when we went to the local shops earlier I wore my wellies and I walked in loads of puddles, just because I could0 -
ivyleaf, I love that you did that! :j
Further good news -
Background: While I was away an M n S delivery arrived.
I finally tried on the garments 3 days ago and only 1 of the 4 is suitable.
Due to my unforeseen absence from home I am outside the returns time limit.
The resolution - I threw myself on the mercy of a lovely lady in my local M n S! By an amzing co-incidence her dad had been hospitalised 3 weeks ago with exact same issues as mine. We compared treatments and responses and agreed that the NHS is truly marvellous. We noted that we even shared the same first name. My debit card has been refunded and I am mightily relieved.
I have also re-scheduled my clients so I have this afternoon off to catch up with myself and to pack for our wintersun trip to visit friends. Tomorrow will be a bit hectic but manageable (Storm Eleanor permitting!).I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.0 -
MMf - have a lovely time with your friends in the sunshine xxSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Senior moment alert:
I've just had a shower and my roll on deodorant was at an end so put it with the pile of washing to take to put it in the bin and the clothes in the WM.
WM duly turned on and whirling away but I could hear something clunking around in it. I kept peering through the glass but saw nothing. The noise only increased as it did it's first spin..so again I went to investigate!
Yep you guessed it, I'd neglected to put the deodorant in the bin but instead put it in the washer :rotfl: :rotfl:
I did actually laugh out loud at my stupidity :rotfl:...first laugh of 2018here's hoping there are many more to come
Ivyleaf I love that you and your new wellies went splashing in the puddles :j ..I confess to being jealous
MMF Have a lovely holiday with your friends, you deserve a break'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
And I ain't got the power anymore'0 -
I did consider jumping in the puddles, but I thought, No, I'm not Peppa Pig....:j
I was very glad I was wearing them when we realised the drain at the side of the zebra crossing was blocked with leaves so there was a huge deep puddle, which OH had to take a detour to avoid0 -
They, whoever they are, said that the storm would hit us at about 6.0pm. Sure enough the wind is gearing itself up. Thankful that I don't have to go out in it tonight. Hopefully it will have blown itself out before I have to leave to catch the bus just after 8 tomorrow morning.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Hmmm we are due to leave the Island mid morning.... might be quicker to get the car ferry which runs through most weather as opposed to the high speed passenger ferry which stops if a mouse farts... lets hope the planes aren’t too effected...
Monna - baton down the hatches - Eleanore is predicted to effect the south coast for 18 - 24 hrs, we don’t want you flying off like Mary Poppins xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

I have to say IM, a Mary Poppins double, but with a real life cutting edge, is exactly how I imagine our lovely Monna..(I hope that isn't the wrong thing to say...and it is meant lovingly:o)
Maybe one day I really will be privileged enough to visit and either have my idea confirmed or dashed by even better'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
