Sending (((HUGS))) to everyone, especially MMF, VJsmum, burtha, thriftmonster, silvasava, karcher and czarina.

I love that sentence monna :D

We have robins nesting in the garden, and they've been at the window asking for food, so yesterday we bought some "high energy" wild bird seed (in hopes it will help them keep warm) and some dried mealworms.

Their reaction to this feast so far has been "What the heck's this stuff? Where are our pieces of bread?"

Mine love a bit of grated cheese Ivy - they also turn their beaks up at white bread lol!
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
  • Unfortunately our local one does not have a coffee shop, but you have given me an idea, there is a Dunelm opposite that does have one.
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • It’s snowing. A lot. How are you getting on mardatha?

Thankfully my DH is normally content with on-line tool !!!!!!. Please not the word ‘tool’ there:D If he feels the need of a physical fix he can take himself off. Unfortunately the Homebase which was conveniently next to Waitrose has now closed, and B&Q is a trek.

Csarina take care of yourself. It’s good that your OH is being realistic. I really ought to take down the decorations but DH will moan. I’ll leave them until 2nd although the festive spirit has well and truly left the house and DH is working Hogmanay.

    Enjoy the day people.

I wish mine was- he spends a vast amount of money on tools that he only seems to use for one project

Been heavy snow here since I surfaced at 8am, still going strong :D
RV moaning his face off about it. Wee birds currently tucking into shortbread (we seem to have enough for 6 months), mince pies (give me heartburn) and choc chip cookies (I hate choc cake) :D
I am miffed that monna knows more filthy words than I do. I think.

I used to work in that big building opposite. If it were me, I'd get dropped at the garden centre up the road, who also have a coffee shop/food and a mooch round Wyevale.
Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j

Enjoy it Mar, and all. It's fallen here and with no where for any of us to go, we're enjoying too. The girls are just back in from sledging and tucking into a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. It's been the cherry on the Christmas break and hopefully a memory making time for us all.

My mind, however, cannot shut off from the new growing season!

Can I ask if anyone knows of any seasonal cookbooks? I know I could gather the info quite easily but sometimes I can be lazy huh? ;)

We never get birds in the yard but this morning we've had both pie wagtail and a robbin. We think they're after the seeded rabbit bites we got the rabbit for a Christmas gift. There will be a feeder hanging off the shed quick sharpish! I do love to see birds.

    I hope you're all relaxaling. :)

See if you can find "Grow something to eat everyday" by Jo Whittingham in the library maybe?
