Yes monna I did a bit of shopping yesterday. I was a really bad one. I really thought I was not going to get better. That was why I wondered if it was flu.

DS says he does not know how he managed to work and he made a lot of mistakes. I have had him home for two days. He set off for work yesterday morning but he only got to the park and he could not walk any further his knee had seized up. He rang for an appointment The doctor has given him some gel for the pain It is not injured just tendonitis.

He has had problems with all of his joints. This job is like doing 8 or 9 hours heavy weight lifting in a gym every day. I have been worrying about it but the doctor says it will get better.

Poor old Millie she sounds like a really old lady. I have just been watching Monday's Panorama about centinagerians. Very interesting. Made me think maybe dying younger is better.

    Goodnight monna and Millie.

pandemonium, When I had a houseful of teenagers I had a big notice up on my kitchen wall,
    MOTHERS ARE PEOPLE TOO.
I didn't notice that it made much difference.

Nice to see you, by the way. Join in occasionally, you don't have to have the sort of verbal diarrhoea I suffer from. A word or two is great.

I've been reading along as well. Had some sort of bug or problem hanging on me for a while and couldn't be bothered to talk a lot. (sighs of relief all round). Been very weak and exhausted, and an odd feeling that the floor was moving. like being on a ship in rough seas, I kept staggering sideways like a drunken chorus girl. The RV was sniggering. Yesterday was the worst yet, I felt that if I let go off the couch I'd float off into orbit. Only way to stop it was to lie dead flat - which was good cos I was knackered anyway :D
Seem to be relatively normal today - although we don't use that word a lot round here :rotfl::rotfl:

Monna my motto for home is "M is for Mum not Maid" supplied kindly by my cousin who is a mum to 5 daughters.

A possible solution to your posting problem is to type a sentence then submit it then go back and edit your post so many words/sentences at a time. That way if it won't post you only lose a little not the whole thing. Tedious but possibly better than losing all of your words of wisdom.

I'll remember that Cranky if I ever find words of wisdom I need to impart.
I know those days Island Maid, my life consists of them. Fortunately (for me, definitely not for you) I have no difficulty in droning on about absolutely nothing.

Today will be one of those days. Bit of tidying up, bit of vacuuming dog's hair off sofa, considerable amount of washing muddy floors, bit of thoughtful surveying the disaster area that is called my bedroom, quite a lot of guiltily reading a good book ................

    THOUGHT FOR TODAY

I want to be a caterpillar.
    Eat a lot
    Sleep for a while.
    Wake up beautiful.

Good morning! It's lovely and sunny here atm. Perhaps I'll get the weeding done that I didn't do yesterday because it started raining.

pandamonium Lovely to see you on the thread :) You are very welcome! I love your username. I think the best one I've seen, though, was someone on another forum called 665TheNeighbouroftheBeast :D

nursemaggie Your poor son, I hope he feels better soonest!

mardatha It sounds like a form of vertigo, which is horrible. Glad you're feeling a little better.

monnagran I love Today's Thought! Thank you. Oh, and no one should ever feel guilty about settling down with a good book :)

Monna - you may want to be a caterpillar that wakes up looking beautiful but to us on here you are already beautiful xx
Well Hospice collected my dining room suite but my house looks like a bombs hit it! DH power washed the barnacles off my boats bottom (steady girls I know what you're thinking!) & I took all the cushions, pillows and sleeping bags off her to store over the winter. Just haven't found somewhere to store reasonably neatly. Other than that nothing much going on here - cough is improving, spent the last two nights in my own bed although the local fox woke me in the early hours barking - think he was making up for me not coughing!
Mar & NM do hope you both are improving.

I am guilty of reading but not posting as I am finding words failing me and certainly non of any wisdom.

I have just put the WM on though, but that is about as exciting as it gets.

Hi all, DH is home and feeling better thank goodness. I've had some busy days which is good for me, not all the time just in 15 minute bursts I think this is the way I will get things done and will maybe stretch it to 20 minutes further down the line. Not doing anything now tho except watching the Rugby. Thanks again for all your suggestions.
