I think the odd mistake on the baby cardigan I have knitted will give my lovely DinL something to talk about, proves it's handknitted and amply demonstrates the superiority of her own mother...who is also lovely I might add:)

I agree tired trophy :) It just makes your cardigan extra special. My son-in-law's mother is an amazing knitter, far better than I am, so I just let her get on with it and am glad the DGC have someone who can knit things for them. Though at 11 and 9 I suppose they are at the age when hand-knitted clothes are seen as deeply uncool!

Well, sticky toffee pudding all made ready for tomorrow. It only remains for me to pack them into my shopping trolley and transport them on the bus in the morning.
Apparently there are only going to be three of us to do the lunch tomorrow. The other two are fairly horrified but as I have done it all by myself in the past I am delighted to have 2 co-workers.

It was supposed to be dry today. All the weather forecasters told me so. I did a little bit of washing but as it has been raining on and off all day it is still waiting to be hung somewhere. Who pays these people to tell lies?

If I ever see you at the bus stop Mar, I will run home and get you some. Or would you like me to send you a food parcel?

I've just typed a load of goggle-di-gook. An insect was was doing leap frog with my jabber that I use to bash out each letter of my posts. I missed the insect but invented a whole new language.

The thread seems oddly empty these days. Is it something I said? I have found that I don't lose so many posts later in the day. Haven't a clue why. I get so sick of clicking on submit and being told that I'm offline, (I'm not) My connection has been interrupted, (it hasnt) or I need to connect to my WiFi, (I dont). I know that I should type it someplace else and cut and paste, but I haven't yet discovered how to do that on my tablet.
    Moan over.

It has been warm today but doesn't seem to dry up much. There seems to be a dampness in the air. The colder weather forecast for the weekend means that I must rescue my winter clothes from my friends garage and get them aired and ironed. I hate winter clothes. I'm never comfortable bundled up in layers of clothing. As I'm determined to have as little heating on as possible, except in my bed/sitting room, I will probably be doing a good impression of the Michelin man soon.

How are things burtha? Mr 3mw still swanning around from holiday to holiday? I know I go on about it but I hope you are really being very kind to yourself.

Have you managed to get out yet nursemaggie? That cold you had must have been a humdinger.

Millie has just climbed laboriously off my bed and settled down on her own. A clear indication that it is now bedtime and wouldn't I like to put the light off so that she can get some sleep. As if that isn't what she has been doing all day. It's a dogs life!

  • I don't post often around these parts, I'm rather shy, but I do enjoy reading along. I'm sure it's nothing you've said, Monnagran. The thread often seems to go quiet around the school holidays

I'm loving the thought for the day. Might have to get a chalk board and subject the family to some of them :D.
