Thank you . I love this completely nutty thread. Had so many smirks and outright belly laffs with the various posts. They reckon gorilla glue will stick anything so if Ming is pushed falls off her lofty perch we could probably possibly repair her and stick her permanently on her shelf!

Gorilla glue seems a good solution  but are any of us going to volunteer to use it to close her mouth? I can see the sense in fixing her in place so we can keep an eye on her. I'm still thinking leaving it to a windy day to cause her to topple over and making the china in to a  memorial mosaic bird bath / water dish may be more fitting.

She would be silenced in that situation.

I only have to see the title of  a song and the words and music fill my head. it seems you're the same but I don't think the people of beautiful Skye desrve a Ming in their midst. I'm pinning my hopes on Nursie on a mission. Loathsome and not to be messed with she'd soon sort her out.

I'm whispering this secret agent Nan, Well done on your efforts  we will bring back sanity to thiis old fence one way or another. I too thought Mar was a lovely wee wummin. If she could change she would be welcome to join us but it's hard to bring that about when someone is in complete denial and has her own take on things.

Never mind we'll plod on . As Pollyanna said tomorrow  is a whole new day.

I was hoping to make a start reading this thread from Page 1 last night. However, my partner said to me in no uncertain terms "It's me or the elephants. Which is it?"

Regrettably I took a little too long to reply, and then I received the Death Stare from her, and that was that.

Anyway, have just started Page 1, and already someone called "Karcher" was worried about elephants in the freezer!

Well it looks as though it's quiet here hopefully Mar is out shovimg homemade flyers about her  " Patio Business" through unsuspecting peoples doors.

Well done Zola on finding a way to follow the thread from the start without the Death Stare. Karcher used to be regular poster on the OS threads  but it's quite while since I've noticed posts .

Mehefin Gaffer tape as it;s known in these parts although I'm aware it's also under Gaffa and other names would be an excellent silencing solution.. I used some in the recent storms to hold one of the glass windows in the wooden greenhouse in place after some  storm damage and it did save the glass umtil it was repaired but as you're no doubt aware it was a nightmare to remove.

I always have both Gaffer Tape and Gorilla Glue in the garage and they do come in useful at times.

I can see both being useful when dealing with Mar.

I do enjoy Elgar so that was nice after a pretty frustrating day.

Wee Nancy I can't believe  none of us once Mar became a vase  ever thought of filling the Vase with her dreaded Kale. When we had colour I used to type Kake Kale Kale in dark green across the page. It's like Garlic to a Vampire where she is concerned .

I haven't been keeping up much with threads but I hope things are a bit easier with the room mates. I find it inspiring you are sharing your home with those finding life difficult to fathom.

I lost track of when your book sale is  or was but one way or another I wish you luck. I still am in awe of you making it all the way to Ross on Wye to visit all the bookshops . Always a plan of mine but life got in the way. maybe one day if viruses etc are history.

it seems selfish when looking around the world at the struggles and I've been in many bookshops throughout the UK  when my eldest  dd worked in the trade.

She's settled in horticulture now out in the air and no longer stressed by the demands of travelling , relocating often to different parts of the UK  and sometimes abroad. The young girl who disliked gardening finally grew up.

I'm wondering  if as the gardener  Mehefin is the best one to fill that vase. He could clamp it down with his Gaffa tape when doing so.
