Zola,  I'm so sorry that you thought you were joining a lovely chatty forum instead of one that not only exists in a parallel universe it also operates in an alternative reality. Sometimes in RL, some times in all 3 at once.  Being tech savvy is no armour for you.

Zola do not go over to the dark side 😈 I thought when I joined this thread that Ming ( or Mar as she was in a previous incarnation) was a wee sweet lady but I soon realised the error of my ways.......and I nearly lost an arm proffering jelly babies to appease her.

That Pollyanna did not start this, You did on Vanoonoos SHTF thread. I think thre1st was a Discworld one which meant Discworld was on a slant without the right number of elephants holidng it up.

 I think that may have been the one that went to stay with Softstuff and Nursie . At one point Nurise was in GQs cupboard with Henri du Vac.

It all got quite complicated Zippy was closing it and she left links to all the really useful info for preppers. I wish I could show you that.John Rebus isn't very techy and neither am he knows people who are .

There were the walkers who disappeared never seen again . wee fluffy ducklings, you disguising your house as a gingerbread house then something big grey with a trunk appeared and that's how it all began a long time ago.

I dunno about the Policeman, but his Dog rocked up here about eight months ago, and started eating my towels. And my books. And anything else she could get hold of!

Polly you mentioned my being sensible (me?? you kidding?) living in a bungalow. It was pure luck; DH already had the bungalow when I moved in with him.

Zola the eating of elephants is NOT compulsory; otherwise they'd have slung me off the fence ages ago. If it all gets too much for you, just come and sit in the kennel with me; I even have a slipper you can chew!

Well it's good to hear the police dog made her way to you. She didn't sound very well trained for a police dog eating her w.ay though your home. Did you teach her good manners and find her a good home?

I've always thought you very sensible. You seem nuch better at the Pacing than me. I keep thinking I'll just do a few more minutes of some task but forget to stop. Gardening I forget to stop and it suddenly goes dark and I realise I've overdone it again.

I wonder what became of the dog handler. He seemed nice and very well trained. I wonder how many wardrobes Monna has perhaps she offered him a bed for the night like the hot waiter. She could have a whole wall of wardrobes for all we know.

Zola never accept any offer from Mar whether to jion her in her niche on the fence , or anything homemade and supposedly edible. It would be a shame to lose you when we've only just met you.

I wish there was a way I could show that very long thread I put in my bookmarks when it was closing which featured every single dark deed.

I can read it and often think it would make a very good book and a warning to the world to avoid  " Wee Scottish Women Living up a Hill" She sounded so nice for a long time then morphed by degrees in to a nightmare especially when she aquired her alter egos. We all tried hard to be kind and understanding putting it down to feeling isolated up in the wilds with only birds of prey various animals and the farmers sheep for company. I feared the worst when she beganto eye up the wee lambs next door at lambing time. That could be handled but the first freezer incident ramped things up and things got increasingly bizzare.

I still believe there is hope due to times she can be nice but suspect the words "She tried" will feature on my headstone one day.

It's a lovely sunny morning here but a bit chilly. Time to check if Mehefin has finished mowing he could be an asset here. I wonder if he knows how to meke Bunting.

Well thank you for all your comments about elephants. I am still no more the wiser, but it would seem that really isn't a qualification for being on the Fence

I have a strong masochistic urge to read through all 1455 pages of this particular thread (and a quick glance suggests there's 5 year's worth of random musings, jibber-jabber and other incomprehensible ramblings that might all make sense when I re-arrive here on Page 1455 (although I suspect it will be more like Page 2000 before I finally understand who is whom, what is what, and who does what to whom - with or without elephants!)

Oh, and are there any elephants in the room, or have they too all been eaten?

Working your way through those 1455 pages would make things much clearer Zola. Things continued when the orignal thread closed. And we saw the alter egos ramp things up. At some point I was searching for that chain mail armour knitting pattern  on thiis thread and Ming//Mar was moving back and forth through Nice and then totally manic.

She is a very long member of MSE. Her present post count doesn't echo that because there are the Alter Egos posts under different identities and posting history.
