Poor DD1! She was booked to go away next week with some friends. They were going to stay in a holiday cottage belonging to the parents of one of their group. Unfortunately the lead friend/hostess tested positive today. It looks like they wont be able to rearrange at a time that suits all of them so DD1 will just arrange some days out with the rest of the group. Fortunately, the hostess hadn't been in physical contact with anyone recently so no need for them to self isolateIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!8

So sorry for your dd mary. Such a disappointment.
We are still in Cumbria - we've one more day. I think we're climbing the Old Man of Coniston today. I'm hoping a cake shop will appear at the end. DS drove over 'Hardknott pass' and 'Wrynose pass' yesterday. he was terrified and exhilerated at the same time - I was just terrifiedIt was pretty spectacular and made more so by a hercules military plane low flying above us - luckily we had stopped.
Fortunately the weather has been much better than forecast which always makes me happy.
Thinking of my favourite nephew today though, who has to fly back to Australia leaving his terminally ill mum. He has to go to renew his visa, otherwise he'll lose his job and his girlfriend/partner will be deportedSuch a difficult goodbye

Still no news on my car, it should have been ready yesterday. I'll keep chasing them.
DD1 came over with the longer and wider gang plank we'd ordered, so less chance of me falling off!I
There is a boat just along from us, brand new, just been purchased, £135,000. Newbie boaters with no experience, they were assured the boat was fully equipped. They have no gang plank, no gas bottle, only two mooring pins to tether the boat when moored and no mallet to hang the line in. The boat is is bigger than ours and we often use three mooring pins. They are really struggling so we are helping where we can.Chin up, Titus out.11 -
Showers forecast here - Mr F went out without consulting the weather bulletin - he has no coat or brolly.
Another finished scarf.
