Pull up a chair and have a cuppa and some school cake. It's lighter than I thought it would be.

That cake looks delicious:)
Just popping in on my last day of work before I begin a big chunk of annual leave. It can't start too soon! I spent yesterday evening making sausage rolls and a quiche for a picnic with the inlaws on Thursday. My Other Half should finish work early today and will bake a chocolate courgette cake. Then all that needs doing is packing up a bunch of strawberries and making a salad.

Morning all.
It's my mini-market day and Rev Ali is picking me up so I have an extra few minutes to spare. I should be spending it in scrubbing the shower, but these days 'shouldas and oughters' are at the bottom of the pile.
I've been spending the last couple of days shepherding my poor David through the maze of tasks involved in winding up a life and planning a funeral. So far I have been amazed at the kindness and patience of he officials concerned. As soon as they realise that they are dealing with a 94 year old gentle, grief-stricken gentleman, the kid gloves come out. He is so polite and grateful that he would melt the hardest heart.
Anyway, the black bags continue to mount up, though more slowly now we are dealing with printed service sheets, hymns, etc.
Must get some clothes on before Alison gets here.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Don't let someone get comfortable with disrespecting you.I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.13 -
Monna David sounds such a lovely man, bless him, and bless you for what you are doing for him x
Burtha I hope your family all recover quickly! Just heard from DD1 that she had a PCR test yesterday, though she says it was more to be on the safe side as she's sure it's just hay fever. I hope so, as we were visiting her and DSIL a few days ago.
Cake looks lovely, thanks MrsCD!9
