Shropshire lass were you the lady with the very heavy sofa on the Poorlies thread? I seem to remember discussing my very heavy one with you.Maddie I should be in bed but am trying to force myself out of the chair. I've done a post to bring back the Poorlies part2. Good job I kept it in my mse bookmarks. With this few weeks old laptop I lost all my bookmarks but after you found me the Stormy Weather Shawl pattern on Elaine's site I went belt and braces with paper copies just in case I lost the laptop bookmarks.Hope to see you ,Shropshire Lass, mothenerd and anyone else who's interested over there.I suppose we'll have to let the Ming join in again. However last time I saw her she was over on the Preppers thread with a Chainsaw and an interest in heavy machinery. The mind boggles!Sleep tight allpollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Polly, you are right. The thought of mar let loose with a chain saw defies imagination. If I were the RV I would be very nervous. Elephants are one thing. The frequent re-laying of patios are another. But chainsaws???
Just an update on my poor friend. She reports this morning that the 5 week psychotic episode seems to be over and her son is in the recovery stage. This means that he will be sleeping most of the time and she will have a chance to catch up on her own sleep. I feel so sorry for both of them. They are both strong characters but this is like a sleeping Dragon and they are both aware that it can strike at any time without warning.
My fence painter has finished for the time being and has gone off on his trusty old bike with his backpack stuffed full of biscuits, sausage rolls, fruit cake and other home cooked goodies. I sometimes think that it would be easier to pay him, but he is so delighted to be fed that I haven't the heart.
We are half promised some 'light showers' today. Mmmm. We will see.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The truth so many seem to miss is that happiness doesn't start with a relationship, a job or a college degree. It starts with your thoughts and what you tell yourself every day.I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.10 -
I want to come down and pain stuff fro you monna. I'm fed up eating my awful cooking. Would you like a patio?
The forecast for my old house today is snow and sleet. Glad I moved9 -

You may find yourself the repository for heffalumps and goodness knows what else!I'm so glad your friend and her son have a bit of calm time now now. Luckily youngest never went into those episodes but we had many sleepless nights and difficult days when she was overwhelmed with anxiety and self judgement. Thankfully those days are gone but I remember how exhausting and draining they were. It's such a pity that that young man was never given the support he needed. I know of many families like your friends who searched for the help tirelessly but never got it. Psychotic episodes are frightening for both the sufferer and their loved ones and it's unbelievable that the help isn't there but it often isn't.I hope she can get some rest and a chance to come to terms with the loss of what sounds like a wonderful man.pollyx

We wouldn't feel safe in our beds. You did do the right thing moving to the wee hoose so no need to venture any further. Your cooking can't be that bad.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
