Love the Thought for Today monna. And the good intentions. Will there be pics of the finished gleaming sparkling house???Sun is out and blasting in the kitchen. I am waiting for energy then need to go and plant some alpines. They might end up planted at teatime, that's ok isnt it?6

Monna I know just what you mean. I reacquainted myself with the vacuum cleaner yesterday, just in the living room. I now need to do the rest.I repotted my spiderplant last night I split it into three plants. My kitchen needs a good clean now. Potting compost seems to get everywhere.6

Bright and sunny here but chilly still.
Hooray - 2 bags of stuff have gone to the charity shop. We walked into town and it was lovely to see the open shops. Mr F just handed the bags in at the charity shop door.
Finally bit the bullet and went looking for a wedding ring. I lost my ring some months ago and just know that now I have been to choose a new one that my original may turn up. They didn't have my size in stock so I have to wait 10 days.
Still not heard from the optician that our glasses re ready for collection.
My new coat arrived today - I love it.
To help me keep going with the crochet wrist warmers - I am telling myself - that is another £5 for the SA when I finish a pair.

You know what the road to Hell is paved with, don't you? Well I must be halfway there. Of all the things that I foolishly boasted I was going to do yesterday, I actually managed a brief tidy up in 2 rooms.
In my defence, (you knew there was going to be one, didn't you?) while cleaning the area around my seat, I came across a whole pile of papers that I had saved. They were most interesting. Articles I had cut out of papers, poems I had found, cartoons, funny stories, useful hints and tips............
After I had spent far too long going through them with a view to saving a few and recycling the rest I found about 3 for recycling and the rest far too interesting to part with.
Who would have guessed it?
Today I have lowered my sights to something more realistic. A line of washing is out and the fluffy thing-on-a-stick will briefly be deployed in the 2 tidyish rooms.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A woman dress hunting will first look at the clothes she would have loved at 19, then at the clothes designed for her age group, and finally at the clothes she can get into. (Pam Brown).I believe that friends are quiet angels

Have trouble remembering how to fly.10 -
Followed by - The only dress I can get into lays in folds on the floor and the waist is just above my knees. That's my usual experience monna. I have not bought a dress in over 20 years. They make trousers for 25" inside leg but petite is 5'3" and I'm only 4ft 9in. If they do have any short lengths they are on the highest rail way above what I can reach. They also tend to put larger sizes on the highest rail. If only you got taller when you moved into a bigger size.I'm a bit late today I have been without internet. I did not know what to with myself.7

We walked into town again - only 10 minutes away. Another 2 bags of books have gone to the charity shop - I did read a lot in this last lock down.
Mr F had Church banking to do and I popped into The Haberdashery shop - alladin's cave - I wanted some new needle pullers - goodness knows how old mine were - they had perished.
Been so busy with crochet that I hadn't done any work on the hat bands - had a text today about them so quickly did 20.
Finished wrist warmers no 6.

What are needle pullers?
7 -
I want to know that too.

They are circles of - ( I think a rubber material ) to grip the needle when sewing more than one thickness of fabric.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I usually just use a thimble and push.
