It doesn't feel very spring like here Nargle. Still chilly and dull. I don't mind too much as I've plenty to ignore indoors. I can do ignoring things outside when it gets warmer.
I made the big mistake of picking up my book when I woke up in the night. 4 hours flew past and then I didn't wake up until 9 30. Tut tut! I have to keep reminding myself that in a few weeks the BST will have set in, the lockdown will have eased and I will be expected to be up and doing before 11am. Rats!
burtha, where are you now? Have you reached John O'Groats yet?
Polly, it was lovely to see you yesterday, I miss you when you are not around.

Lovely sunny day here now after a grey start. Gorgeous blue sky and sunshine.

She has an inconveniently good memory, I'll say that for her.

burtha, sorry you haven't been too well. What do you mean, running a bit? You surely haven't been running while feeling unwell? Are you mad?
Don't answer that. You wouldn't be contributing to this thread if you were grown-up and sane.
It is dry, sunny and bright out there this morning. I know because I peeped out of the window this morning. I hastily dropped the curtain and returned to the warmth and comfort of my bed with a coffee and a banana. That's breakfast accounted for and at some point in the future I will brace myself for a shower and getting dressed. After that we will see.
The future relaxation of lockdown fills me with horror. I can foresee the day coming that folk will be knocking on my door confidently expecting a warm invitation to come in for tea and a biscuit.
Hells Bells! At the moment they would have to clear a path to the living room followed by the unearthing of an armchair.
I suppose there is nothing for it, I'll have to start the great clear up.
I may be gone some time.
I may disappear for ever.
More coffee first.

You're doing it wrong Monna. Don't let them in - the first things I did when I moved in to mum's bungalow last March were to put the padlock on the gate and remove the keys from the key safe (her dead partner's children and grandchildren, most of whom have been doing the bare minimum of lockdown compliance, all feel free to waltz into the house as they please). No-one gets in without my say so, although it's been a constant struggle to explain to mum why she shouldn't be doing things whilst not trying to alarm her.
If you want to entertain people, give them a cup of tea out in the garden, but don't let them over the doorstep.
She's quite happy with letting me be the 'bad guy' (our mothernerd won't let you through the gate). Last visitor was her cousin, who seemed surprised by my precautions, even when telling us that his wife's brother had died of COVID the week before and the deceased's wife and daughter couldn't attend the funeral because they were in quarantine, through being in contact with him. Join the dots, people.
Oh what a little ray of sunshine I am. I don't care. My priority is keeping mum safe and if others laugh and say that everything in life is a risk, jetting off to Spain in the brief window of opportunity, then phoning home to say that everything is shut and they have to wear masks all the time, so be it.
It was a beautiful day but some clouds have appeared, so I may put off the painting outside for another day. I'll sit / lie here and put together a plan for doing the outdoor work slowly in stages during March. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage11 -
Good for you Mothernerd, in this life some have to be the sheepdogs and many opt to be sheep of their own accord, others are born sheep and can only 'be' sheep! this world is becoming dafter by the day and if we don't look to keep ourselves safe no other so and so is going to because they're all hell bent on living in the Pleasure Domes as quickly as they can get there. Not for me, I can see things going belly up again within a month of the easing beginning, I hope I'm wrong but I haven't been so far in this pandemic. Keep guarding Mumsie you're doing it right! xxx.4

Stick to your guns, mothernerd! You're not the only one who thinks like that.
Monnagran, I remember when I was very small, my Grandma found me in the back street, walking along the kerb, one foot on the path and the other in the gutter, singing, "Hells bells" over and over! She was mortified and couldn't get me in the house fast enough.2025 Fashion on the ration
