Hope you are OK J amanda. You do well to be reclaiming your home as yours. You can't do anything about the past, but your future is in your hands. Grab it.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Thank you. I didn't mean to kill the thread!!
I'm OK now and have paint to play with. House will probably faint with shock when the paintbrush hits it.
I've been shopping on line for that event that we don't talk about. Some squeaky toys have been sent to Santa in our loft (for the dogs, not the husband). I carefully put them up there when the dogs were out. Went up to look for something the other day, and the bag had caught on the loft hatch. Whichever way I tried to move it the toys squealed resulting in me up the ladder shouting Shhhh to a bag of dog toys. Dogs now think Santa lives in our loft. The collie keeps studying the loft ladder wondering if he can, if he dare.....11 -
Aw, poor collie
jamanda I'm so sorry about your loss. But I bet your parents would enjoy the thought of the house being all bright and fresh
You can come and do ours afterwards if you like....

You're kidding. Ours hasn't been touched for 8 years because there was nowhere to move anything to in order to get at it. By the time I've done, the first bit will be ready again. The mind is desperate but unfortunately the body doesn't seem to feel the same urgency.
What do you mean, poor collie? How many little collies do you know who know that Santa has stored them something exciting up in the loft? We have a massive basket of toys because they still play with the old ones as well. If I chuck one out when they aren't looking, they spend ages looking all over for it. We have a big hairy lurcher as well, but it hasn't occurred to him yet why the collie is staring at the ladder.9 -

I haven't noticed lockdown yet. I'm still trying to catch up with myself. I'm glad you are doing OK Burtha. I remember when you were struggling at the same time as my daughter. She is doing alright now too, and I think about you when we are nattering.
I don't know what happened today. Mr. M delivered my usual Saturday morning order (I thought). When I was editing it the website was crashing, probably because they had released the December slots (notice I didn't say the word). What I received today were two half orders I think. They seem to have amalgamated somehow. I told the delivery man it was OK because no way could I work out what had happened. I knew it wasn't two normal orders but we'd still have been there now if I'd looked at it properly.
Suffice to say, there will be a lot of scrambled egg, crumpets and mushrooms here and at daughter's. She also seems to have about a sackful of fruit. I bet they thought I was stocking up for virus, the word I can't say and Brexit all in one go. Never mind - if anyone is starving please form an orderly queue.7 -
scrambled egg with mushroom on crumpets sounds wonderfull ... can I have black coffee with it too x£223/ £250 GC7

You can. There are also lots of choc eclairs. I ordered egg custards and raspberry turnovers and someone has subbed them. I think we're going to be poorly.6
