Good grief, wumman, use a bookmark like normal people, what you're advocating here is bad for both literature and patisserie.

choc eclairs wins over egg custard anyday , weirdy one of my customers brought us some in on Friday, very nice ..
today's plans include how to use up at least half a loaf of white bread , .. the frog wants bread and butter pudding, but will probably still have half a loaf left ?? ...

burtha, crumb it, mixed with a few herbs and grated cheese makes a good savoury crumble topping. Bread pudding? As opposed to bread and butter pudding. Great for filling up hungry tums.I believe that friends are quiet angels

burtha said:Polly, ref people struggling with meds , pharmacy stuff or day to day problems . the nhs volunteer thing is still going till March, pharmacys can refer but you can also self refer , phone number is available on the nhs website.
I.dont know how good it is , I've tried not to see / watch to much news over the last few months. just worked through it ... strange timesCharger number 3 and I'm back. Bit of an issue logging in but finally dug out my little black book and here I am.I'm sorry i missed your post burtha. I did look at the NHS volunteer service a while back but many locals have had missing meds etc.I went to collect dds meds today and for the first time in months I spoke to a pharmacist I haven't met before. We used to know all the staff but they are constantly being rotated , The last few months have been a nightmare with meds missing or all the repeats not being on the slips for the next surgery order.Last month was like high noon . One med not in the bags. I'm trying to avoid going out unless necessary but had tried to get through on the phone but no one was picking up. Had to go back to town . Another pharmacist I've never seen before who denied any problem. Dd had none of that med for a month. Thankfully not one that can't be suddenly stopped..I emailed the head of care home upstairs in Boots who put dd on her list years ago .due to the number of meds that can't be stopped.Today the pharmacist checked everything in the bags and printed two months of slips for the surgery. She told me if there is any more problems to let upstairs know.Hopefully things will be better. I do remember a couple of times over the years Boots constantly rotating staff . It turned out there was an issue with meds missing from the pharmacy and they were monitoring staff. No idea if the present situation is due to Covid with regular staff missing or if there is a problem there they are monitoring.Today is the first evening following a pick up I haven't been raging and dreading calling and emailing. Superdoc got on the case a few months ago but things went awry again. Thanks for your advice. It's nice to know someone who knows thier job and considers those having problems after decades of things going like clockwork.Hope all is well with yourself, your lovely frog and all the family. Take care .pollyx

Anybody here have a Baxi Bermuda combi boiler heating system? Can you tell me how much it costs to run? After 40 years with a coal fire I've just moved into a house with gas heating and need to know what to expect7
-
depends on how old , well insulted, size of new house . I've gone down to a 15year old ,new house .. it's a lot cheaper than a coal fire .£223/ £250 GC7

Polly, hopefully you have it sorted now . we are trying our best to deal with constant out of stock meds , massive price varations of drugs each month , staff who are having to isolate ECT... rotation of staff may be due to that, it's not fun times ,then add in just doing the job as well lol

It will be cheaper than what you were spending before on coal type stuff, don't panic.
Yay, found edit - Ours is a Victorian semi and I'm currently paying around £60 per month for gas and electric. If we are cold the heating is on.8
