The Gloucestershire cohort are OK so far, all been on the social distancing since day 1 or in our case 2 days before thanks to the GP in the family who grounded us! not faring too badly, stocks seeming to hold up and we get a fresh delivery today in the form of a community box from the village pub bless them. Babies both teething and a bit unsettled with whole families at home 24/7 but I think we're doing OK. HWK and I are managing a walk out into the country every day so far and seeing very few people and very few cars so all OK here and not too '4 walls syndrome' could be worse xxx.8

I'm fine, burtha, got the son working here from home (he lives and works in London) so I was able to do an overtime shift on Tuesday because he could look after the dog. Just going with the flow, falling in love with my home and garden again, keeping in touch with family and friends by phone and the interwebs. This too shall pass. One life - your life - live it!8

Thanks burtha - hope you are all doing ok. You too Nargle... as a key worker you need to look after yourself.
We're doing OK. I am the busy one (2 part time jobs and a full time PhD - submit THIS MONTH!!)
But it is hard to focus with all the news (i thought the constant Brexit news was diverting enough) and a very noisy house - the other day i had DD singing musical theatre in one room and DS playing rap, or playing his LOUD GUITAR, in another. Did i mention it is VERY LOUD
OH has become chief forager (apparently many men of the household have turned into shopper in chief, bringing out their tribal instincts..). OH's mum is doing better than we feared in herself. I think her stress is often due to FOMO - and now there's nothing she's missing out on!
Right, typing, editing, typing, editing.... that clock is ticking.. Take care everyoneI wanna be in the room where it happens8 -
Thanks to VJs and burtha for keeping this old fence alive. I had to go back a few pages myself to post recently. It's sad when you think many of us met on the old tougher threads years ago but we're all busy at the moment adjusting to "Interesting Times"I hope the Shingles has settled VJs. I restarted the hayfever and allergy tablets a few weeks ago after realising I was so focused on Corona symptoms I was forgetting the normal hayfever and chronic Rhinitis symptoms. I'm breathing easier now and the painful pressure above my eyes has eased so I hope yours is managable.Youngest and I did the self isolation. Then Superdoc phoned to say she was in the extremely vulnerable group and needed to go under shielding. That was the 13th March. After being stuck indoors I needed to go out and do important stuff so I droppped her at her boyfriends who's working from home and she's been there ever since. Luckily the cats live there so rather than hide under the duvet at home she's trying to control the anxiety and agoraphobia two things the counseller worked on with her. Sadly the world outside is a scary place now in her head but she's determined to come thorough this and if need be see the counsellor again when some normality returns. The little coop here has been a real help to me. I've only left the house a few times since the end of self isolation for food and other important things. In my head I'm still self isolating. The coop is doing the first hour each day for oldies like me and other vulnerable groups. The couple of times I've been in there are only 4 customers instore at the most so quick in and out.Our problem is dds info wasn't passed to the supermarkets nor was mine so finding a delivery slot has been impossible. Neither of us are former online food shopppers. I ordered a Wiltshire farmfoods brochure online a few days ago and it arrived yesterday. There's a delivery outlet a mile or two from here. It's ready meals so not ideal but I'm considering it if needed. Her bf is doing quick trips to his village, decontaminating everything, showering and changing his clothes but it isn't ideal. It's like Willy Wonkas factory at my house. Apart from me noone ever comes in and noone ever goes out!Very best wishes with the PhD. Let us know when you do submit. We can light candles, send positive vibes and cross our fingers.I'll catch up a bit more later, take care all.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.11 -
All good here, life hasnt changed a huge amount for us. We can go out more or less as we like for walks, and in the car to the next village. The wee village post office/shop has a table across the door with a brass bell on it, and you stand there and tell the girl what you want, and she gets it - they still sell sweeties so I'm fine10

All well so far. Eldest DD has moved home for the duration (she had nightmare neighbours who were under notice to leave but will probably not now be shiftable) . The girls both say that a lot of their 20 something friends have gone back to parents for the duration. It must be very hard being in lockdown if you are living in a shared flat with nowhere nice to go for a walk and if you do go out it's like human dodgemsIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!9

All ok here too. I went to the pharmacy yesterday. OH went out on Monday, I think it was, to the bakery and the Co-op.
Best keep-well wishes everyone.8 -
sounds like everyone's is doing good .. fab , ...
I'm just at the point where I don't like people anymore , but then thinking about it I never really did lol .. it's very odd in my pharmacy at the minute, I amazed at the number of people who just don't "get it "yet ... most of your customers are lovely and we are just doing what we can to protect ourselves and them . odd world ...
still running , last night to both my eldest houses and my mum to drop of meds and wave at grandkids. all ok . both dd and dil have had scans and everything is looking good , so 2 baby's July and Oct 😊 .
thankfully the 🐸 made it back from USA last week think he had a fun journey but who cares he's home 💚 .
right I'm off out for a run , before I sit and catch up with the news at some point tonight , take care everyone x

Good to hear from you burtha. You see? You've dragged us all out of wherever we've been lurking. You seem to be coping extraordinarily well. Would you have imagined a year ago that you would be so settled now? Even given the strange times we are living in at present, everyone is surviving, if not flourishing and you have 2 babies to look forward to.
Here in Mon Repos everything has ground to a complete halt like it has everywhere else. My curtains are made and ready to be hung whenever the Textile shop are allowed to deliver and fix them. Everything that is destined for storage in a shed and/or conservatory is still piled up in the house and I am sqeezing between boxes, bags and sundry bits of furniture and as happy as a sandboy.
Nice to hear from everyone.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Have trouble remembering how to fly.10 -
Good to hear that everyone is alright and managing with this awful thing.
I've been busy playing in the garden, a new deck was built at the end of last summer and there weren't any plants anyway. There are now loads of plants in but of course they aren't growing fast enough for me!
Keep going everyone, every day we get through is a day nearer the end.7
