I hope the Lemsip did the trick VJs. I empathise re the decorating the railway takes priority. Once it's in the blood you don't stand a chance.I've got two pairs of glass doors in the main room Nargle and like you it means the dining room also needs decorating. I have to admit nowadays cleaning all the glass is something I dread. Windows are very big so lots of light but the sun shows up every mark,Ming the merciless would brighter lighting help in the kitchen? Hope the snow has stopped. Dennis the menace is due on Saturday.I'm wondering if I need an eye test. I looked at your new avater and thought it was a snowy earth it's only now I see a ming vase. I'd suggest taking a pic of the coal store if you still have snow but I seem to think it was taken down.Hope all are ok. I haven't noticed Monna so hope she and her tablet are ok.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Then staying in until Dennis the Menace has been and gone. I'm getting too old for all these storms and stresses. So much for forever young. I wanna be sixteen again!A few posters elsewhere on the forums have given advice on recovering the Eek. Don't understand a word of it but will ask youngest to try to do it. I NEED THE EEK AND COLOURS ESPECIALLY GREEN OH AND PURPLE.Sleep tightpollyxx

We've just had an early morning 'phishing' call from 'the mastercard visa security department' it originated from Driffield which is most definitely NOT where mastercard services are situated. It started with an automated voice and I cut it off when it got to services in it's spiel. Be aware?7

Cold and very blowy here today might be a good day for staying in. Managed to catch my friends cold after a trip to London so hot drinks and paracetamol for me. Stay safe folks xx8

Hi burtha, so glad that you have had a break, it was long overdue. Even gladder that the house was still standing. I always knew that there had been parties and shenanigans when I left my teenagers alone in the house, by the pristine condition of it when I returned. All the girlfriends had been imported to do a complete cover-up. Indeed, my now-DIL says that she remembers well being a member of the spring-cleaning party the day before I was due to return. I only caught them out once when I had only got a couple of miles away, and about 10 minutes after hearing the "no parties, no mess" promises of my sons, when I realised that my passport was still sitting on the hall table. I turned the car round and got back to find the party in full swing! Music going, girls hanging out of the windows. They must have been hiding in the bushes waiting for me to leave.
Things have certainly changed in MSE. The best things that I have heard said about it are along the lines of, "I suppose we will get used to it." "It could be worse." "It's a bit slow and clunky."
I think its called 'damning with faint praise.'
Anyway, nice to see you back.I believe that friends are quiet angels
