Welcome to MollyWindley
Mar What you need is a nice pic of a polar bearI've lost my 'ivyleaves' pic as I had no idea how to save it. Another poster very kindly took the pic and put it on tinypic, and I was able to transfer it from there to MSE originally, but it's not on tinypic anymore. I'll get another pic eventually, I hope

Morning all, I am in typing and waiting for my new to me sofas to be delivered.
They're coming from a local chazzer, 2 Next leather sofas (£100 each, and they look nearly new). Regrettably the old (one) sofa can't be taken away (by the binmen, it's all it's fit for) for another 2 weeks so I think it'll have to sit in front of the new one until then. One is also going in the conservatory where there is currently sat my new camping pod for my car, which needs to go in the garage, when we've sorted that out!! I think we're going to be in a bit of disarray for a couple of weeks...
I changed my avatar - to guess where

I am also in complete upheaval, having my living room redecorated. It's a big room, over 7 metres by over 3 metres, and my OH fitted glass paned doors in the archway to section it off into two separate rooms. I can still use it as one big room by opening the doors wide, so it all has to be redecorated as one big room. Yesterday the decorator started. I am paying for a decorator because I am rubbish at that kind of work. He reckons 3 - 4 days. Wednesday the council are picking up some furniture I am getting rid of for a charity that supplies furniture for people who have none. That furniture is currently in the dining room and when that's gone I will start moving some existing living room furniture into the dining room. When the decorator has finished I will put up the new curtains, pictures on the walls and a few ornaments. Next Monday my neighbour is coming round to clear out the remaining furniture and take up the carpet. The furniture will go outside through the patio doors on to the patio - I am keeping an eye on the weather forecast. Tuesday a new carpet will be fitted and I will then start putting the room to rights. It won't be completely finished until the following week when a new sofa will be delivered.
It will be a couple of weeks of upheaval but it will be worth it. I am going from a sludgy brown and beige scheme with gold curtains and cushions to pale cream walks (colour Dulux Orchid White), cream woodwork, cream carpet, carmine red curtains and sofa, accessories in black and rose gold. Less clutter, fewer pictures and ornaments, a more tranquil, light but warm scheme. Fortunately my shifts are Saturday and Sunday this week. One life - your life - live it!11 -
Blimey, Nargle! I thought we were in upheaval....
Of course, OH could have sorted some of this today - the garage stuff at least - but, oh no, he had to have a day out.. He's been retired a year and all I asked was he decorated the lounge. "wait till winter" he said. Now it's more like "I didn't say which winter".. THat's why I bought the sofas as I've given up waiting. In may, when I finish (everything is 'when I finish') I will patch up the lounge, paint a couple of bits of furniture and it'll be ok-ish for a year or so... Although it has been 10 years since it was decorated

Help - please does anyone know how I can view posts without them being overtyped. If they are longish posts, they also fall off the bottom of the post and I don't know how to change the view.

Sorry jamanda, I don't know and it may be different depending which device you're using. If you look at the "Snagging" thread on the Site Feedback board you will hopefully find an answer on there, though it's pretty long. HTH6

We did our kitchen in grey and it looks really good - very New York sophistication
- but soo dark it's driving me mad. It pulls down my mood and I want to change it to a pinky magnolia but haven't got the energy.
