May one enquire why the patio is being extended? Is it related to your pasty plans? As they're likely neither veggie or vegan I wonder what the recipe is with dread.
How did the appt go with the Dr ?

It's either that Polly, or we have touched a raw nerve with talk of the elephant in the freezer and she has decided to bury the evidence. Hence the patio extension.

NM You seem to finally have the home you needed. I'm fed up the rainy damp days, I should be used to it by now but it's either been that or freezing fog and cold winds.
I've only got the Grey pasty thing somehow I thought it was grey pastry.Monna talking of cheese scones reminded my I needed mustard powder. I nipped to the little coop to get a bunch of celery I forgot to get on Friday. Came home with mustard powder and forgot the celery again. Think I need a personal shopper.

Oh.... :rotfl: i was just going to ask about grey pasties, when i got it...
Just back from therapy cos someone mentioned Nursie…
Polly - I wouldn't trade being a personal shopper for anything.... detest shopping in nearly all forms (overseas supermarkets are an exception)I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Well she was asking for help to widen the patio last year and I offered to help and to conduct a forensic examination of the site to prove her innocence. She went quiet at that point.
Are you managing to reunite yourself with the beloved belongings that were packed away? At least you wouldn't have had to glitter the cobwebs at Christmas it was a long wait and I'm so pleased you're finally settled.

I wanted to wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous new year too..... a bit late I know but hopefully better than never.
I don't post on here much, but I do like to read along about your antics and news. And I always thought I was the crazy one !
I wasn't in the greatest of health myself just before xmas ( trigeminal neuralgia) not life threatening but very painful and I felt a miserable s0d until it was diagnosed. Took the PTB 2 months because they kept sending me to the dentist, who sent me back to the GP.
Anyway I'm happy that everyone is still posting, it sure brightens my day :T

BTW I've just twigged about the grey pasties too :doh:Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
I do not know what grey pasties are. I do not understand any of this. I think this whole thread has gone loopy. I am the only sane one in here
Polly doc says fibromyalgia. Bloods been done 3 times and everything come back negative. Which is ok as long as their tests are accurate and that they're testing for the right thing eh!0 -
Mar do you mean the doc has confirmed Fibro? Brain's a bit foggy at the moment. The blood tests are to exclude other condtions and if they come back negative and the trigger points add up that's the diagnosis. Although years apart for diagnosis we were both diagnosed by a consultant who's specialised in the condition throughout his career and written papers and lectured around the world about fibro.
If it was confirmed were you offered any medication? Dd has tried 3 over the years and the gold standard one is the one that's most effective for her. Multiple conditions such as ME Chronic Fatigue Various forms of Arthritis etc make things a bit more complex. With flares dd and I are constantly asking each other is it the fibro, or pSa or osteo? Sometimes there's no answer.
Unlike the original pain clinic we were referred to there's now a Health and Wellbeing centre in the nearby town much better and nearer. There's a pain psych and dd found that helpful managing the pain and pacing, they have a brilliant dr who can advise changes in meds etc although Superdoc is brilliant at sorting meds. There's OT and physio. The young physio guy got dd moving over the months . Best of all there isn't one of those "My pains worse than yours" groups that suck the air out of the room.
