That's great help Pollywolly, thanks pet xxx Great to hear that WCS is still on th go, I miss her.
How do you get the diagnosis? Do they check pressure points or something? Because I found a diagram and I hurt in all of the places marked on it - but then I hurt everywhere so canny go wrong :rotfl:
The RV just got back from the gp, who says he is doing well and has to go back in a month.;)0 -
Hi Mardymar. Both myself and dd had blood tests and pressure points.
I had a very dry mouth and the consultant brought me a glass of water and then tested my eyes with a tissue to see if I had dry eyes , can't remember the name of the condition it sounds like sojens syndrome but I know it's spelt differently. The joys of fibro fog! I noticed I typed two words twice in a previous post :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I had my ME diagnosis , CFS a few years ago some medical people say they're the same thing others disagree. Sometimes I think if I was a horse I'd have been sent to the Knackers yard years ago.
Things both dd and I have found cold days, wet days ,damp days, very hot days ,high humidity and cold winds make the fibro flare.
I've had to be very organised to keep a diary for dds medical appts ,list of her 19 monthly repeat meds and any antibiotics , steroids etc. I have lists for all sorts of things I need to remember and if I don't put them back in the same place each time I then have to search for them . Answering the phone can mean spending a day or more looking for the thing I was about to returnto it's proper place.
I used to laugh when my mum couldn't remember what day it was but now I'm the one checking . If there's a bank holiday in the month I'm on a hiding to nothing.
Do you remember saying I must have done something really bad in a previous life? I reckon I could say the same to you. We seem to have attracted a lot of bad Karma including a horrible consultant along the way.
I'm so glad the RV is doing well. Between us it's like an episode of Casualty.
I think WCS took early retirement in the end. I was really relieved because it was such a struggle for her. She got back into the growing. I can't remember if her post was near the end of the old Poor Health thread or the beginning of the 2nd one but I was glad to catch up with her again.
pollyxx
ETA ME diagnosis was late 80s but the CFS seems just the same.It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Tell WCS I was asking for her xx
I going docs at 8.15 in the morning, I have already been to her late last summer with all these symtoms and got nowhere. I hope something gets done this time.0 -
The gp Superdoc took over from referred me very quickly to Rheumo and I had the diagnosis from the Consultant on the day he assessed me. Probably about 14 or 15 years ago. Superdoc referred dd possibly 8 years ago and the same consultant diagnosed hers. My mum had the same three diagnosse as us but under Psoriasis, Fibrositis and Arthritis the Osteo. Dd took place in genetic trials via regular blood tests at Rheumotology and the medics at Manchester Uni found the gentic link.
Hope your appointment goes well and the weather is ok; We,ve had freezing fog here over the last few days and very cold nights. I've had to wait a couple of hours for the front door lock to unfreeze so I could bring the milk in. Luckily it wasn't going to go off it was like a freezer outside.
I'll get onto the other thread in the next day or so and see if WCS appears. If she does I'll give her your message. I'm surprised you haven't thought of heading over her way with an empty cake tin.

it was quite nice with the weather here today , although a bit more sunshine would be nice.
need to find a flapjack recipe for tomorrow, kids seam to be hollow .

I thought mar ate himI wanna be in the room where it happens0

She may well have done. If anyone mentions the poor creature, Mar goes all unnecessary and mutters from the corner of her mouth. I've heard words that sound like....stray elephants.....kindness...out of misery....freezer, issuing from that cake and jellybaby-jellybaby-stuffed orifice.
We will probably never know.
Oh look! Even my tablet knows how many jellybabies disappear down that particular orifice.
Many thanks burtha. Keep it up. I feel better already.I believe that friends are quiet angels

There is absolutely no need to bring up that damn elephant! That is below the belt burtha, and just enables the chattering classes to get their teeth into gossip! :silenced::silenced::silenced:0

Not denying it though..... :rotfl::cool::think:I wanna be in the room where it happens0

I am not chattering classes.
Chattering class, maybe.
Chattering classy, certainly.
