    Good morning Fencers.

Got visitors arriving tomorrow night for the weekend, stepson and his family and own son on his first trip back since he moved to London just after New Year. I didn't see any of them over Christmas so there are presents to hand out, almost like a second Christmas.

I moved a lot of the stuff out of the freezer into the fridge, stuff like croissants and pains au chocolate (reduced price), frozen fruit for a fruit salad and hot fruit compote - breakfasts partially sorted there. Also a big beef joint which I will rub stuff into and leave in the fridge to marinate for Sunday.

Housework and shopping today. Busy busy.

(There's probably space in the freezer for a bit of elephant, Madarthur, just if you happen to come across any, like)

Nargle do not encourage that wee wummin up the hill. She has been the bane of my life since the walkers went up the hill and never came down again. One or more heffalumps. wee fluffy ducklings any thing edible to her mind. She considered turning her house into a gingerbread house to tempt her victims at one point.

Who remembers her asking about bacon she wasn't sure was still safe to eat and deciding to try it on the RV and putting him under the patio if all went wrong? That patio hides secrets.

I wish I hadn't mentioned the heffelump the other day. Apart from confusing posters unaware of her history it's reminded me of the dreaded Nursie long buried in my memory who lived with GQ . Kept in the cupboard with Henri du Vac until she would emerge to go on supposed rescue missions with dire consequences . At one stage she crossed the ocean to Softstuff and refused to leave. I must admit we all had some laughs apart from worrying Nursie would arrive on the doorstep.

So for those who weren't involved then be aware every now and then we go off in daft directions. If you're very unlucky I may lull you to sleep with a lullaby.

Mar is a lovely lady when the blood lust is contained and I love her dearly however if anyone digs up that patio in the future it will be very interesting.

I haven't seen Softstuff here and her night shift posts. Does anyone know if she's ok?

Thanks for the info NM . I've lost track with not being on the threads so often.
I don't even know if you managed to find your forever home with your own washing line, bins others didn't fill and peace and quiet. I hope your health isn't too bad and all is well with your son.

Polly not my own bins but large communal bins and I am not responsible for what's in them nor do I have to put them out.

It's very quiet, no one above me I'm on the second floor, no washing lines but a laundry which considering the amount of rain we get here is better.

My health is up and down, and I do pick up everything that is going round. I do cope.

Monna I am slow it has taken me most of the morning to get the grey pasties.

Ooooo, did I mention that the patio is being extended this year? ;)
32 new slabs artistically arranged in my back garden, ready to be put down when the weather gets better ;)
