So sorry for your loss Monna xx
Mar if you are worried cook the joint then freeze it xx0 -
Was just worried because it was frozen then 2 hours out of freezer, then frozen again. I'll let the RV eat it first and if he collapses gurgling and turning luminous green then can I have help to dig a hole under the patio? I don't fancy a life term for poisoning the sod.
TY everybody xx0 -
I'll help dig the hole should the worst happen Mar . I may forensically search the site while I'm there . Still wondering about the walkers that never came back down the hill and assorted animals . Just anxious to establish your innocence you know :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You may have had this replied to already Mar !
Heat oven to 180 degrees . Think you're on Calor so Gas Mark 4 .
You don't need to add fat . Salt if required , I don't but your choice . Grind some black pepper over . I loosely cover the top with foil .
Medium done 25 mins per 450 g + 25 mins .
Well done my preference 30 mins per 450g + 20-30 mins .
I drop the heat to 160 degrees after first 30 mins. Gas mark 3 .
Test from time to time with a skewer until the juices run clear on the thickest part . Baste from time to time during cooking .
I remove the foil for the final half hour or so .
Allow the joint to rest for 20 mins before carving .
I make cuts into the joint when prepping and put fresh garlic and rosemary sprigs in the pockets - that may be a step too far for the RV so optional .

I've noticed Mar that apart from widening holes and weighing up the patio you seem to be developing an interest in the dreaded cooking .
There's a Mary Berry paperback from the mid 80s . It was my meat cooking bible . Not just roasts but ways of using different cuts of meat in casseroles , pies , crumbles all sorts of things . Mary Berry's New Book of Meat Cookery .There are sellers on Amazon of good condition copies cheaply .
