I’m an October baby and love when the clocks go back and can shut the world out. Would be better if I had heating but a hot water bottle and a big fleece blanket, flickering candles and everything is ok with the world. My down time is the long bright night that stretch to eternity bleurgh xx

My thoughts exactly shanks Driving rain, vicious wind, dark all day, bliss. I have always said that I was a mole in some previous existence.
I feel the same about being snowed in, so long as I've had a bit of warning and can get some stocks in.
It's the perfect excuse for not going out and DOING THINGS.

    As good as a holiday..

  • I'm a June baby.
    Can't do with hot weather.
I love those bright but cold days, going for a walk, all wrapped up with hat, scarf, warm coat and then home for a mug of hot chocolate. Just wish we had a coal fire.
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.

I'm a xmas baby and I'm with monna on the mole bit :D
  • I loathe winter. Our first snow is usually in October and some years, it lingers until May.

I hated working 07-1530, leave in the dark and home in the dark. Now with 06-14 hours, I see some daylight.

Right now, there is six inches of packed snow/ice on my street that makes getting out to the main roads a nightmare.

Got the tree and some decorations up this afternoon. Only broke one ball. The first breakage in years.

I detest snow. I use a mobility scooter as I can only walk a few paces, and I can't use it if there's snow on the ground, as it'd get in the motor and short it out; so Mr Wolf has to take over walking our Canine guests when it's snowy, and I'm confined to the bungalow.

  • I'm fed up with the rain, it seems to have been raining for days and it's cold with it. This morning we had some much needed dry weather and actually saw the sun for the first time in a while which made us both feel much better but the rain is again hammering down on the study skylight as I type and it's chilled right down again. I know it's December and I can cope with the coldness because I can light the stove and layer up with extra clothes but the rain is depressing isn't it?

Fitful day here - rain then brightening up then rain. Nipped out to do a few bits at my local shops when it was dry - black clouds coming and just got home before it bucketed down - big lightening flash, growl of thunder and that was it! Forecast to be dry tomorrow so fingers crossed.
Christmas tree down from the loft with the boxes of decorations. Tree assembled, cards hung up & the rest will be done tomorrow.
