Pleasures yesterday - good old singalong at Rock Choir.
Finding out a slow puncture was due to a screw embedded into the tyre - got it fixed and reinflated and the other three tyres checked out for a mere £15, cheaper than a new tyre.
Decorator got first coat of paint on living room walls, it looks lighter and brighter already.
Rain stopped long enough to take doggy for walk.
Using up leftovers - savoury mince with leftover roast potatoes, peas, carrots and gravy. Home made rice pud from the freezer for dessert.
Hearing son got safely back to London after a surprise visit up here for the weekend.
One life - your life - live it!13 -
Good afternoon, I'm a bit disorganised this week. Pleasures for yesterday....
Food shop done quickly and under budget
It was the HT's first day of work experience which led to a few pleasures. The first was that he asked for a "made by mum" packed lunch when he could have had a burger or hot dog from the cafe where he was working. The second was taking him for his first shift with my best friend with us too. I usually do all parental things alone so it was really good to have company. The HT is working at my friend's cafe so BF and I had a coffee while we watched the HT get started cleaning. Third pleasure was going back to fetch him and being told that he's an absolute delight and that he'd worked hard.
I think the biggest pleasure of all was that the HT enjoyed working. He came out with a big smile on his face, told me all about what he'd been doing on the way home and said in tones of delight "Mum, I've been doing the same job as you".

I still can't read posts so I hope everyone is OK.
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) My sister didn't need me to let the delivery man in after all so I had a lie in!
2) Hens OK and went out to buy more layers pellets.
3) Had lunch made by my brother - pheasant casserole and veg.
4) Into floody city for a cup of tea with my school friend.
5) Just had long phone call with my other school friend.
6) Realised I will have to appoint smaller son a solicitor (again...) to try and get him any sort of an education. Copied the chief exec of Children's Services into my email tonight and had a reply that she has forwarded it to SEND !!!!!! Obviously didn't read that I haven't managed to get any sense out of them since September (or indeed, ever).

1. Boss was ok with my idea to cover the extra annual leave I need to find for being delayed in holiday and not working a half day on Monday.
2. Appreciated for some extra effort I went to by a patient. Before being told I should prioritise my time better!
3. Chat with friend on bus.
4. Free chicken wrap at work. It was very good.
5. House looking tidy.9 -
A reasonably decent nights sleep last night.
HWK painting the wall in the conservatory white, only a first coat but it already is much brighter and lighter than it was.
Lovely pictures on the phone of the two newest grandpickles together as DD1 went to visit DD2 yesterday.
Deciding I can live with a white replacement kitchen when we do our anticipated refit after all, I'd been looking for light wood but to no avail.
A dry, bright start to the day but bitterly cold out there. We're both in the shop this morning so will be warm and busy anyway but it's a raw old day!
