Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Hens OK.
2) Popped out briefly for petrol and bits.
3) My brother came up for board games and opened the bonnet of the car for me (it requires strength and pliers!) so I could fill the washer bottle up. Also took our Christmas tree to be replanted at his place for next year.
4) Had a good tidy up and sold an old screen for £30.
5) Roast dinner.

That could have been so much worse, Mrs sd. You'll be sore+purple for a while. Take care. Arnica?
Frith, your screenshot pics show post times and dates! Lucky you in that respect.
No Spits today, several reasons, resume next week.

1. Glad to have called in on friend. Big catch-up and other matters.
2. Tried CS bits at auction Tuesday night. 4 diversions + 2 more 'big trees down' clearing teams,1 power line ditto, 2 long-term rural railway crossings shut and deceptive road water near Tiger Stables, Lainey. Usual c.30 miles became 49! - with Hockwold, Sedge Fen Road, Drainage Museum, Feltwell, Methwold....what a mess! Finally arrived. Kindness of punters, so some funds raised.
3. Into CS and put said ££s through till to up day's takings. Essential for Portland, Hypher and Cranworth Houses. As so often, 5 mins' drop-in became several hours' helping:-)
4. Passport photos done in friend's village. Another v.g. place where young people ('differently-abled' is the current term) do most of the work. They are lovely. V. has done &'s pics for several passports/much officialese over last decade+. Will return in a few hours, realising Irish passport appn docs folder left behind inadvertently. Oh, &!
Old lady brain fade:-)
5. Well, who knows how/why? BUT done, sorted during auction. En bref, & will easyjet to Edinburgh for Scottish Opera's 'Nixon in China' in a fortnight. Car will rest in Trumpington p&r, while & uses Stansted coach/plane, then meander the Scottish place before performance:-) &'s1st internal UK flight, although how long before Scotland declares Independence?

1. Friend seeming happier today than she has for a while.
2. DS1 arranging to see a couple of friends.
3. Glad to have finished work at main site for week. Line manager totally ignored me but had been talking about me to others.
4. My daffodils looking good both in the garden and in a vase.
5. DS2 cooked tea and is becoming more conscious of cost of the good and made a couple of adjustments to reduce the cost.10 -
For yesterday,
Bit of a respite in the weather so lots of stuff done outdoors, over to see my girlie after breakfast, bitterly cold wind but soon warmed up.
Home and out to clear garden of storm debris, larger twigs added to wildlife pile and smaller put in green bin.
Lunch and then took small dog for long ramble, washed down small dog!
Still just light when Capt S came home.
Mid-week roast for tea, chicken with loads of veg followed by fruit jelly.
