Will pm Frith as that doesn’t sound right at all.
For yesterday,
Lots of washing, cleaning and tidying achieved.
Did a sort out of me undies drawers and a couple nearly new but not comfy on me bras packed up ready to send to Smalls for All.
Couple of my pillowcases had to be consigned to the rag bag and thought would have to buy new but a search through airing cupboard threw up replacements, had been kept for Justin.
Enjoying my new book, Wakenhyrst by M Paver, set in the fens and resonates.
Tea was a new to me recipe, Chestunt, Mushroom and Red Wine casserole, very tasty.9 -
Frith said:Can't even read my post after it has "sent"!
We all need to do it every time - the lack of dates/times, slow thanks button, loss of I.d. at foot of posts etc.etc- it's worth having a ccp text ready to plonk in every time.
Weight of complaint + loss of users already MAY have some effect.

Morning all... Poor Frith, who can't even see our messages and sympathy...
Funnily enough, mrslw, we are about to repaint our conservatory from white as it is too bright for my rather light sensitive eyes, it is south facing which doesn't help.
Can anyone read the forum on an ipad? I don't seem to be able to.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. I have a cold, which is not a pleasure, but thank goodness for lemsip, which is... I swear this bl00dy PhD is killing me slowly...
2. my new to me sofas arrived. 2 Next leather sofas for £100 each from our local hospice shop. They were insisting that they had to be sold together which most people don't want but is perfect for us as we want one in the lounge and one in the conservatory. They look barely used. Just have to wait 2 weeks until old sofa can go with the bin men so we've a double row of sofa in the lounge until then.
3. typing typing. penultimate chapter nearly finished its second draft. it went ok though
4. fish pie for tea. it's the first proper meal I've cooked in ages and was delicious... even OH said so
5. watched Hidden, on BBC Wales... Celtic Noir...
have a good day all

Good evening all, pleasures for yesterday....
Sainsbugs are doing jeans for people with short legs again (they're called vintage style and they're probably supposed to be capri or something but they fit me perfectly as ordinary jeans. As there was also a 25% off offer I bought two pairs. It's been two years since they last did jeans that fit me lengthwise so I'm happy.
Dropped the HT off for his second day of work experience.
Went to finish watching the first ever series of Dr Who with best friend. Also had coffee and a chat.
Called early to collect HT from his work experience and helped a bit myself - there were more people in than usual.
Home, hot bath and pjs.......10 -
That’s not Chrome, BoP.8
