Happy travels BOP and indeed Mhags!
1 Home and applying for roles.
2 DH has turned the kitchen into a factory and has been doing electroplating all day.
3 Very pleased to have lost more weight, about time it did move, and I could enjoy a small piece of celebratory chocolate cake without guilt today it was delicious, it’s my weakness.
4 Freegle has been very useful this week.
5 We tried some cheap pet pads, but it turns out they are not absorbent at all so lesson learned but we will have to see if they come up on maybe a black Friday deal.0 -
Poets indeed bop and footie. Both away. 5 mse pleasures for today.
1) Walked in and really enjoyed the light - I love the brightness of late October sunlight
2) took much pleasure in eating PhD examiners' left overs that I had put in fridge for lunch
3) colleague who is ace at timing m&s reductions - lovely chockate tart £6 to 60p I had a 12th for pudding
4) mr piano made very nice orizo thing for supper
5) then he and dd1 played duets - he on piano, her on violin. Super duper
Which makes it a nsd. YayMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Good afternoon from business class lounge where internet is free but there's no cakes! Very disappointed!
Been a crazy last few days trying to fit everything in, had several medical appointments for DD2 that we had to squeeze in and various cleaning agents to do their stuff.
However , I was over my baggage allowance and haven't been charged.
OH is a huge responsibility to carry with me but he's along for the ride and only ever really traveled business class when work were paying and he and air miles ! So I'm taking him home to Scotland in style!( just cake less)
We had three days of so much heat that it reaffirmed I don't want another hot summer here , not for a bit and cool and breezy enough today to make me know what I will be going back to.
I have only ever really projected as far as today and here I am. I just woke this morning and thought its here.
Made pancakes for DD2's breakfast before going to school. And a see you 6 weeks on Wednesday! Spent time with the bigger 2 this morning and they helped me out with my hefty cases!
It's all a bit massive but still feels like the right thing to do. I'm giving myself one year at the least and see what life brings. Going to do a full four seasons anyway.
The kindness of friends both here and at home has been amazing. Will miss my Australian people's but looking forward to reconnecting back home.
Had a some pasta and a rice dish and a bit of salad for buffet lunch here.
Was planning on some cakes...oh dear there's none!
Will catch you when I can, need to arrange phone and internet back home but looking forward to just being quiet first few days with my dog boy.0 -
Safe journey to Mhags, I have been completely awestruck at your strength and stoicism over the last few months x
Thursday pleasures,
Shopping and we had vouchers for Sainsbobs :money:
Home and the post have brought the part for washing machine, fitted and it now works, :j for Capt S's ingenuity.
Into Uni city for haircut, pleasure is my understanding and talented hairdresser who deals with my mercurial requests and thick, unruly hair.
Traffic bad coming home so decision made to pick up fish and chips, the shop was packed and testament to their oh so tasty food.
Might have had a glass of wine with.0 -
5 Well the A330neo flew yesterday, as reported by BoP above. No KK was not a holiday jet! But if you go to Portugal next year, it will be! Wheels down because … Anyway we say glued to the live stream for well over thirty minutes without a refill of tea as you never know when it will roll, and you do not want to miss it! P E N S I O N
4 As in passim notes about education inflation. Another made a paper aeroplane to the bucket just now. So you stayed at school, got charted status. Brilliant. No, the mill already has a chief engineer and we don’t need too many chiefs do we! Anyhow, I has a lass from France to interview today. Usual rules, if she can pick my jacket up from Paris, she’s …
3 Curry night tonight. Could be home made as BoPsie over the years does not like the cold too much and the water, well! So it is going to be a stinger what ever. That will certainly put plenty of meat on the bone for you. Note, Proper Foods again! Tomorrow we will be getting the drains up just in case!
2 later BoP is having his MoT part 1 again. This is where BoP turns up at the Doctor and he says what am I doing here. No I am still here!
And Mhags has packed her bags!0 -
1) Lovely windswept walk by the river with Cookie, invigorating.
2) Found some white convolvulus and some winter jasmine blooming on the footpaths and we have primroses in bloom on the front lawn, topsy turvey or what?
3) The sound of the rigging hitting the masts on the yachts in the sailing club compound as we walked past.
4) The light of the sun on the river, with the ripples and wash it was glinting silver and gold like molten metal, so beautiful.
5)Autumn leaves, the sound of them rustling in the wind, piles of them to 'scrunch' through on the ground and the colours of those with the tenacity to still be left on the trees and a great pile of conkers at the bottom of the nearest tree presumably collected from the garden it overhangs and put out for the taking, fab!0 -
Afternoon
Welcome back VickyA
Safe travels Mhags and Haggis. hope you've got your sweater on...
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Yoga was excellent - I am improving
2. Did a 'big' shop that included our friendly neighbourhood butcher for the first time in aaaaages
3. had a cook-in. A vat of bolognaise base - some was frozen and some turned into chilli. Some of which was also frozen. And squash, carrot and lentil soup. Some was had for lunch, some was frozen
4. Prepped and then painted a first coat on DD's new (old) room. Another coat was put on first thing this morning. Hopefully she will be in by Sunday....
5. Did this whilst listening to the TV on ipad. TOTP 1984 (or 85), a programme about the Elizabethans and then ganges with Sue Perkins.
6. A cheeky 6th - didn't eat until 9.30 so felt I deserved a glass of wine with it.
Wardrobe and bedroom door have now had a first coat of chalk paint. going back to do the second shortly...I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
In bed already. The week has been exhausting!
1) packed my work stuff into the rucksack I found 2 weeks ago and did my 3rd C25K for the week. Had to go a slightly longer route, but felt good
2) left overs lunch bulked up with cucumber, a bit more orizo and 2 hotdogs
3) beautiful day as I headed down to city campus to sign visa form for Saudi
4) met girls after work for a cuppa. Dd2had the car and we dropped dd1off at a friend’s
5) which meant she didn’t want her left over Chinese tonight so I ate it :PMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

1 I downloaded a 99p kindle book from a series I am addicted to.
2 I deep cleaned the bathroom, cleaned all the mirrors around, washed the stairs, and dug out the paint pot to put another coat of gloss on before a new carpet gets fitted, all done now.
3 Returning an Amazon thing which is easy and refunded the money, added the money to the vet fund instead.
4 Muttered around about a thoughtless family member who has irritated me, and the animals came and cuddled me, so so lovely.
5 Remembering to cook chicken wraps for tea earlier than I would normally as we need to pop out and collect a freegle item a few towns over this evening.
6 Weeded the front garden hoping it looks at least looked after.0 -
Currently perspiring in Abu Dhabi lounge but I do have a jumper in my case!
First leg done & board for next leg in 20minutes.
Got cake on flight ...all was well with my world!!
Couldn't quite eat the doughnut for my breakfast though...stick to cornflakes!!
Catch up in Scotland!!0
