    1) woke at 6 again (!) so watched a couple more episodes of gentle tv
    2) toast and whisky marmalade for breakfast. The whisky marmalade, a gift for xmas (and not last xmas either!) was in danger of becoming a pink rose candle
    3) fun sunday school. it was matthew 22 15 -22 (pay unto caesar) which was the perfect excuse for trick questions (e.g. how many elephants did abraham take onto the ark) and chocolate coins
    4) lunch with friends at a newish italian - portions on their special were huge. i am still full and there's pizza left over for tomorrow
    5) 2 hour nap followed by finishing urgent masters dissertation review. so La Belle Sauvage will have to wait.

    A few over the weekend
1 Travelled over to see MIL which was nice, we were fed and enjoyed a good chat.
2 We got back in the early hours this morning and the animals were very happy to see us.
3 Today, I painted the remaining stair pillars and window sill around the stairs in preparation for a new carpet.
4 Made spag bol with rtc mince from the freezer and a lot of whatever veg we had in. about 4 portions left.
5 Remembered while sorting pills for the week ahead to put in for repeat prescriptions.
We've had a message come through about animals who need urgent care so just responding to it, I wonder how they will be....

Quick pleasures as am feeling a bit under the weather (start of a cold, I think).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Hens well and 2 eggs.

    3) Did 6 hours work for the local council, delivering voting reminders all that time! Everyone was very polite today (not like last year!) and one lady took her form then I met her later in the day, taking it to the post box!

    4) Cheese and pickle sandwich for lunch plus a banana.

    5) Nice to get home and spend the evening on the sofa under a duvet. Watched a lot of television.

    1. Relaxed day. Warm and sunny.

    2. Good lunch on way to airport. In a small cafe type place but good food
    which was nicely presented.

    3. Fairly reasonable flight home. Very bumpy landing. Then ok drive home

4 DS1 seems ok. He is happier than he has been previously.

    5. Home to a tidy house. Had soup for tea.

Hope the rescued animals are ok PK

Driving over to the yard as the sun came up, beautiful.

Filled up with fuel on way home and there was some rtc M&S Tiffin, rude not to and so delicious.

Family get together at DB for nephews birthday, niece made her brother a cracking cake.

Chat with Capt S's sister over messenger and organised a seasonal surprise for him.

Watched Chile with Simon Reeve, difficult at times with harrowing stories.

5 Not everyone. They will not think as you do. They even don’t know things that you know. Believe in things different to you. Act in the way you would like. But you have two eyes and two ears, one to watch, the other hear. You can still learn from them and go a long way to getting along with people.

4 Well impressed with last evenings tea of pie cottage and the leeks! Raffles was impressed as well! Though he appears not to like his crunch food recently. Usual rule of BoP. I’ll bring it out for your tea!

3 I appear to have failed my MoT! What. Oh it was a fasting blood test and they tell you after they had sampled my 100% red ones, A+ variety! Guess what they will test on BoP later!

2 Night I am testing pills again. Please be warned of further news from the BoP adventures may be reduced due to …

I’ll switch the chair on now!
  • 1) Speaking to DD2 and being told that the Oreo child is MUCH better today and likely to be discharged tomorrow if his sats are still OK!

    2) Outside smells of autumn and actually felt autumnal when I walked the hound this afternoon.

    3) three bedrooms cleared, sorted out and much unnecessary stuff sent to the tip.

    4) BHF contacted to take surplus furniture pre-moving and will contact us and come to look at it in the next few days. Hopefully they will be able to take everything and benefit from it.

    5) A single deep red rose in full glory on a bush as we walked today.

Hi, just saying hello. Down at friends for tea and using their internet as I have nowt!

We are back home. We are getting settled and friends have been very kind.

    Catching up has been good.

Much to be done ( thanks tenants!) but plenty time to do stuff.

    Catch up when I can!
  • Welcome home Mhags, hope Haggis managed the trip OK and no doubt he's going to be happier when you are established in your own home and have settled in yourself! My very best wishes for a new life, a new start and future contentment, well done M'dear xxx.
