1. Took DD to the theatre on Friday night
2. A lovely soiree chez KW last night
3. Managed to keep things together at school last week and it ended on a good note. Trying so hard to not let things continually get me down, roll on Friday when it's half term!
4. DD is all packed for a very early departure to la belle France tomorrow on a school trip.
5. I'm not all packed to continue on after hugging her goodbye for school and then 4 nights chez KWJust going to throw a few things in a bag in the morning and hope I don't forget anything essential!!
6. Looking forward to seeing the doctor this week, hoping to be feeling up rather than crying on her again.
7. Sunshine!
8. KW has planted the first of our hopefully successful crops in the allotment. I'm going over on Tuesday after school(The lottie is very near his house, which is good as he's the worker, and I'm the smeller of roses and eater of goodies
)

Good Morning,
PK YS pie for 25p....yummy!
Busy Sunday in the garden.
1. DH emptied the shed. It was a bit like archaeology! 'Ooooh look at this', 'Remember that '.....etc, etc. The deeper into the shed, the younger the abandoned outdoor toys got! Much has gone onto the street. DH has taken photos for EBay. And we have a big pile for the dump.
2. My plan was to cut down a dead tree covered in ivy, which is leaning over the 'veg' patch. Unfortunately, the chain kept popping off the chain saw, so need a new chain.DH found the pond liner we bought years ago
. The R-A-T's had chewed holes in it, so I have used it as a weed barrier over the veg patch. Built some raised beds using pallets, (I spend too much time on Pinterest), and planted peas, winter lettuce and spring onions.
3. DS built a flat pack workbench. (It was very cheap, but the instructions, were very complicated). Good practice for DS who wants to be an engineer.
4. Cranberry pork in the slow cooker, made speedy roast dinner.
5. Watched Victoria and quilted another section on my quilt. (Will it be finished by Christmas?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).
Have a lovely week.0 -
1. Day spent in the garden. Dug another patch to get rid of bindweed roots, also ivy and a few brambles.
2. Another area has been weeded and some plants moved around.
3. Planted some bulbs. Not a all of them but enough to be happy I've started them.
4. Had a bonfire. DH had cleared up and created some wood cuttings from tree that fell down from field and which mainly landed in neighbours garden. Also burned all the roots I had dug up.
5. Enjoyed sitting with a cup of coffee in the garden as it was such a lovely day.
6. Being kept company by the chickens. They were busy all day.
7. Had a glass of wine in the garden with DH. Sat with a fleece on but it wasn't cold. Discussed long term plans for the garden.
8. DS2cooked tea. Roast chicken which smelt excellent and roasted veg which I had with Flageolet beans as was last day of my vegan diet. Also had home grown raspberries.
9. DS2 not having any problems from his black eye which he got from playing rugby but doesn't know how!
10. Generally feeling happier than I have done in a while0 -
For today :
As I sit typing from my sofa on my porch that some @rse didn't bother collecting 'but they gonna pick up tmoz def' ...anyway, I still have a sofa to sit on...but still a blooming single bed out on my front porch! That has as 2 'defo pick ups!' Sigh!
Work. Trying not to lose patience with new lady who does not seem to be retaining what I'm telling her, does not say please and thank you and is the slowest article I have ever met! Suggested she had tomorrow off as it's the quietest day ever but she wants to come in and practise more!
Sigh! But I'm getting paid and she's not!
Then home and carpet cleaners cleaned and my lovely gardener gardened so that's more ticked off the final week stuff...have I told you I leave in a handful of days?
Kids came down so I could leave ( waiting on UK passport for DD2 that had to be signed) said farewell to a few of the lovely shop people from our wee town. Much huggage and hand shaking ( our lovely pharmacist who was so kind when OH was ill) ..didn't feel right to hug him!
Had a picnic on the porch with kids. ( no crumbs on my clean carpets )
Went down to our lovely neighbours ( Haggis' bestie Dusty) they had a lovely time in the garden and their 18 month old daughter is just a delight.
Chat to OH's old boss.
Just going for Monday night cheap margarita pizza with DD1 and a rubbish chuck in street bins!
Have the loveliest of Monday's...last one here!0 -
Ooh 7 DD!
 re that child at footie Frith well done on youngest for behaving so well.
For Saturday,
With ahem winter coming Lulu had first taste of hard feed for breakfast, she wasn't sure but bucket was empty when I went over later.
Leaving yard and beautiful hare crossed the lane in front of my car and did a huge leap over the ditch.
Eldest hollow legged one came over to watch footie with his Dad and demolished several warm sausage rolls.
Filled car up on way back from stables and hit the M&S food section as several bargains were put out, my new favourite thing is their iced raspberry buns with raspberry jam in, rtc 5 for 50p, can't be bad.
Caught up on Gogglebox and HIGNFY.
and for sunday,
Home from early visit to yard and walked in to smell of bacon & coffee, love my man!
Very warm day, planted out some spring bulbs but need more after watching GW on catch up, have bulb envy.
Decided on mini digital detox so didn't pick up IPad/phone all day, strangely liberating and will do again.
Evening dog walk as sunset.
Early night and read my book.0 -
Morning from West Wales, where Ophelia is making herself known, a stiff breeze a glow in the sky and a strange smell in the air. the sun is a fat red blob behind orange clouds....
Pleasures for the weekend
1. Great walk on saturday - another 12 miles of coast path done (total = 120). this time Criccieth to Penrhydeudraeth. We didn't get wet and took in a pub (or two) along the way. Not much climbing, which my dicky knee was grateful for.
2. Train from Penrhyndeudraeth to Barmouth included a punch up as hoards of people wanted to get on it. It was Barmouth Bridge's 150th birthday. Had a great evening drinking on an empty stomach :j then went to watch fireworks - which were a bit pants. Managed to get on the last train back (by walking back one station) and - hoorah - the kebab shop was open so that was tea :rotfl:
3. DD arrived from the other direction at the same time (mostly single line track in these parts but trains cross here). She'd had a great day at work (after a sticky time on her first day the day before, though more with her own head than with the work). Her feedback has been wonderful - apparently she's a natural.
4. Went for coffee with friends in Aberdovey, including a trip to Fat F@ce where friend has a 15% off voucher - so i bought the jumper i'd been meaning to get. then for Honey ice cream with DD
5. DD and OH decided to leave in case Ophelia made her presence felt sooner so had a night in by myselfI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
5 On the way to the toy shop on Saturday, I played another game of chase with the wheels of BoP. Mondeo man, so desperate to get there yesterday was unfortunately behind BoP in the roadworks. Just so on the roundabout, BoP was courteous, and let a couple out! So I was too slow through the works, but at the end, BoP was in correct gear to fly, and fly he did. I passed the last lorry while slowing down so Mondeo man caught up! Only for BoP to get away again! This happened twice as I entered to the next roundabout, where I was turning right, for him to think he had won slipping down the outside! So there, don’t mess on the road with BoP!
4 Arrived at Toy Shop and wolfed down a big breakfast. Then off to see the kites. DH.88 Comet racer was there with her Gypsy inline six. BoPsie was impressed with the Clayton traction engine as she came from Lincoln! PM2DD she is a Meggie now and supports Grimsby! Lunch was a sausage plat and gravy! Then off to watch a couple of blow outs and a piece of cake with proper tea. Tum was well rubbed and BoPsie did say I got a bit over excited! Oh yous does has to go there and every three year old should as well. Shuttleworth Collection
3 Disappointed with Red Dwarf this season. I cannot find anything funny about the two mass murderers of the 20th century parodied. Hopefully the next episode will be better. Though on Friday night while filling up in the garage, mysen and another managed to de-arrange items of evil. Thus preventing someone from purchasing the tack. As said before, Big Sis used to upset when everyone celebrate BoP’s birthday on bonnie nite! These days we have a season of hate the week before.
2 Night BoP is in his winter plumage down the gym. BoPsie is also there, but too excited not only at BoP, but is restless as apple of big is days away! BoP will be in attendance at The View! Still looking for Giant tickets, though mes and BoPsie will be dining at the Met on the Wednesday nite! Viewing recommended!
Now Great Uncle Ben, where father BoP was named and BoP was named. Passchendaele 1917. GD’s elder brother, or cousin? Only causality I can find from the 20th century. Was at Battery Park some months back and saw none on the stones. Well, the parks were farm managers and no need to emigrate and the Bills were also working for the Post Office. Only emigre were the £10 boats in the sixties. Then great aunt, she world travelled at 99 and lived on heather whisky. Again Proper Foods! Pure, as with the unpasteurised cheese! Now how did we make the cheese whey so good years back, as it matured, it pures it self. Just like the bacon on camp years gone. Throw the top one off for the birds and the rest we will eat! Proper foods.
Interesting when we is back inn apple of big!
Rant over!
Oh Lord. PM2DD2 Your boys have shot their lot again!0 -
1) Concert on Saturday was amazing, Mendelssohn's Elijah, wonderful music.
2) D of E walk on Sunday also good.
3) Popped a goulasch into the slow cooker on Sunday morning and came back 'ravenous' to a hot meal where we only had to cook rice which was very nice.
4) The odd sky this morning which was dusky apricot colour and the sun was a molten copper ball glowing in the sky, strange but beautiful.
5) Being home again and a couple of weeks ahead without any pre planned excursions which will be nice.0 -
You got a lot done, Houseelf!
Pleasures for today (Monday).
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Porridge for breakfast, HM soup from the freezer (carrot?) and HM bread for lunch, dahl and naan for tea and did enough dalh to plonk 2 servings in the freezer.
3) Hens well. 1 egg today.
4) Booked a hair cut at son's college, rather than the one I used to go to. I might not bother again, as it will cost £8 compared with £3 at old college.
5) Cleaned out under the stairs.
6) Had my flask of soup on local common so I could admire the weird sky!
7) At smaller son's school, they encourage you to sort out your child's work experience yourself. So I sent the first speculative email today - to his football team staff!
8) Gave under the stairs its first mist coat of paint.0
