Oh DfV I wish I had your strength and eloquence, your lad would be so proud.

Also of your DH ,there’s no way my DH could have given the eulogy for DD ,our wonderful son did it so well .

Agree re sleep ,it’s my problem that I keep waking to check him .
Am frequently offered carers to get him up and reverse ,but ok at the moment.
I feel that the time he gets up and retires are just about the only thing he has control over now ,so I will carry on as long as possible.

    Hugs and strength to you

Thank you D4V. And thank you for sharing. SS is right. Your eloquence is stunning but it is the heart behind it that is so captivating. And so generous.

Suffolk Sue sending you lots of hugs.

D for V, wish there was a badge for valiant and adult behaviour as you'd all qualify for the way you've dealt with this most harrowing time. So very glad that all went smoothly at the funeral and that the meal afterwards was balm to sooth many of your loved ones and friends and also I hope all of you. The darkest of days are often illuminated by very small but immensely welcome little glints of pure starlight such as finding the badge and gold award and knowing you can complete the blanket. Each and every one of them is the beginning of a step back into the comfort zone that is everyday life, be ot ever so mundane, it's a welcome stopping off place towards getting your balance back love, well done xxx.

Super morning in the shop, good takings and many nice people to play with, most enjoyable.

Home made minestrone soup for lunch and I was about an hour and half ready for it too by the time I finally got to eat it, yum!

A beautiful book of fairy jigsaws (brand new, never done) turned up in a donation bag and has been purchased for the Frieda child for Christmas.

    It's not raining today.

Tea.....pure and simple cups of tea without which this life would be much less pleasant.....hoorah for tea!

Am off to grandpickle sit until late on Thursday so I'll catch up on the pleasures you all so kindly share when I'm home again xxx.

Mrs Lurcher you always say such kind things about your colleagues and customers. It makes me want to work with you.

    NO RAIN ?

Tiggy and I just in from milk run and we are both soaked. Well, I am. Her bright pink coat is waterproof. :)

For the link on the Blake exhibition. Won't get to see it but am motivated to look him up..........library here I come.

Just a few questions but goes without saying........you don't have to answer any.......

What is an 'Art Pass' ?

And do you mind telling me what you sell at Spitafields ? Is it all charity work ?

I have gleaned some things about you, admire your helping young men, but would like to know more. Not being nosy, genuinely interested.

    And how is Ninou-Nanou ?

Been meaning to ask that for ages.............

Hi All, I hope you don't mind me popping in. I don't normally post on here but I am feeling the need to find the silver lining as work has been rather difficult today. So here goes..

    1. My posh hot chocolate maker that I bought for days just like this.

    2. I have just taken a couple of massive leeks and some beetroot from my very neglected veg plot - they will be perfect for a risotto later.

    3. Anticipation of snuggling up with a real fire and book later.

    4. Local charity shop had all books for 50p so I popped in first thing and got a couple of books for me on the way to the library for my ds. I have amazon prime so I can get books on my kindle but nothing beats holding a paper book.

    5. Above mentioned difficult working day is nearly finished.

    Hi Bala:T

I hope all went well for your dog at the eye specialist. I had an issue with one of my dogs eyes a few years ago and she nearly lost the eye so I know how worrying it can be.

    Hi Baggins

Still ongoing but have seen some improvement. I remember where I met you. Had to cancel pet/vet taxi because vet cancelled. Couldn't get through to her next day..........really did want to offer her something. Turns out I was to be one of her last customers, not that this info came from her. From the lovely man I have as replacement. He has proper dog carrying van with cages etc....... and is about 30% cheaper. Totally reliable and we always have a good chat. I always tip him. He is giving me advice as I want to change vets but am waiting for this eye problem to heal as the eye vet is brilliant but 40 minute drive away.

So, in answer to your question I have just described one of my ongoing pleasures...finding this reliable man, that loves animals, and my wonderful eye vet.

    Thanks Bags

    Bala
