Morning all, from an early morning canary :p

Pleasures for the last 2? I think

    Friday

    1. Early morning balcony time with my book
    2. A longish walk, through a gorge, along a path into volcanic landscapes, another gorge and a cliff.
    3. Lunch in a beachside fish restaurant
    4. Another walk up to a viewpoint
    5. An evening in, with my book.

    And yesterday

    1. Early morning drive to corralejo
    2. Boat trip to lobos island. I love a boat
    3. Walked round the island, and then back again. About 10 - 11 miles in all
    4. A fun boat trip back in a very choppy sea. Didn't feel sick which is a miracle
    5. Lovely meal out in an atmospheric restaurant. Even though my meal was not the best, it was still a lovely evening.

The last two days have been overcast. Still warm with periods of brightness but no real sun. Good walking weather but I need some sunshine now and it is due back today :T until we leave :T:T:T so having a local day today..
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Good Morning Peeps,

Woke up about 4:30am and ended up getting up. Been reading back on here and snoozing on the sofa.

    Yesterday

    1. Meeting I was not looking forward to, went ok.

    2. Friend called in very briefly. Lovely to see her, but she shared some bad news. (Hence awake at 4:30am).

    3. Showered the dog. She is less smelly.

    4. Lunch out at nice Middle Eastern Cafe.

    5. Dinner at friends house.

Cranky : 69a looks fab. We will have to investigate next time we go to Liverpool. Renshaw Street was one of the haunts of my youth......I used to go to a youth club in the basement of the Methodist Central Hall.......Now a bar/ nightclub

    Have a lovely day :)

DFV my girlie is good with her feet and will yield to the usual run down her lower leg and gentle lift, my aim is to train her so all that’s needed is a tap on each leg, hence saving my back in later years :D
Aw, sweet that you think of her as fine and feminine Bala she has her moments!
That was one lucky hamster Cranky!

    Saturday pleasures,

After changing the bed on Friday I had a lie-in to thoroughly enjoy fresh softness.

Made the most of the sun and spent a few hours at the stables.

Chat with work experience girl, she loves the practical side of horse care, not so keen on the days spent in college but savvy enough to know needs her official qualifications. Asked if princess pony behaves for her and pleased when she said yes, you never know.

Made bread and thought about doing some work in the garden but the rain came over so read my book instead.

Chicken Penang for tea, another new to me recipe, very yummy.

Two episodes of Wisting on the bounce, really enjoying and will be sad when it’s finished.

    Mine for yesterday

    1. Worked for the morning - on Saturday it is very relaxed and also double time and the money goes straight into my retirement savings.

    2. Had a walk round Covent Garden.

    3. Had a lovely meal with DH in Covent Garden. Not cheap but good and device and atmosphere were very good.

    4. We were meant to be going to the theatre so we arrived and say down and as play was about to start we were asked to evacuate the building. Everyone left and had to move beyond a police cordon. A suspect package had been found. Sniffer dogs arrived and we were then told the performance had been cancelled.
We will get a refund or be able to go to another performance.

    5. Home earlier than expectt. Had a glass of wine and we chatted to DS2 and his girlfriend.

  • Good afternoon my lovelies, just caught up on all your pleasures after been AWOL for most of the week. I'm back at work now and it's been manic.

Anyway a few pleasures from my week.

Healthy packed lunches all week, I'm trying to lose a stone that crept on and lost a pound this week so happy days.

Trip to cinema to watch Little Women with DD's. It's a lovely local independent cinema and I always enjoy going there, film was good too.

Pooches went to the doggy hairdresser for a wash and cut and are looking super cute.

Budgets balanced, next weeks meal plan done and lots of 20 , 20s for 2020 logged ready for updating at the end of the month.

Feet up now with a cup of proper coffee, chilling and browsing on here, whilst watching a programme on Borneo ...having a couple of hours me time before I start cooking dinner.
