Raffles is currently hiding behind the tree of xmas. He is not for coming out.
BoP will prevail.
More later.0 -
Sorry to hear about your friend, Ampersand.
Hope all OK for DD1, Mhags.
Pleasures for today (Monday?)
1) A lie in!
2) Tree back outside, some decorations down. Hoovering, tidying, 3 loads of washing up (leftover from yesterday and from making soup), washing done.
3) Hens OK.
4) Went into town to pay smaller son's Christmas cheques in to his bank.
5) Took bigger son to the bike track in the park in town and got chatting to a young BMX biker aged perhaps 10 (as he and bigger son were taking it in turns to use the track). His bike was a birthday present, not for Christmas (I was told) then he asked about bigger son, "Are you his sister or his mum?" Hahaha!
6) Had a cup of tea/hot chocolate in Sainsburys.
7) Bigger son has started the curry for New Years Eve party.
8) Nice burgers for tea then I found a chocolate bombe that we were supposed to have on Christmas Eve so we've just eaten that!
9) Bigger son caught up with Top Gear and had been to the temple shown right at the start (with the monkeys) and all along the death trap road and recognised the view as they left Kathmandu.
10) My new Jack Monroe book "Veganish" arrived.
Nice to have a bit of room in the living room again with the tree gone.0 -
Hello and evening all,
Newbie here, jumping in if permitted?
It hasn't been the best of days but I am determined to find things to be thankful for, they are there.
1; Good friends popping over to pick my chin off the floor, sympathetic ears and lashings of tea
2; Said friends helping me clear an ENTIRE tub of lego that had been upended by my tyrannical leader (otherwise known as my 4 year old son)
3; I cleaned out my fridge, I love that it's clean and ready for some gorgeous fruits and veggies
4; Meal plan is done and will come in on under budget0 -
welcome fortunefavour and here is a lovely thread where we will also help you raise your chin from the floor.
mhags thinking of you and your dd1

Hello! It’s been a long day! I may have just woken up on my new to me sofa!
So after my early morning call I got up and started the day.
Went into town . I’d seen a sofa /cuddle chair combo in a furniture shop in town yesterday. They sell ‘part exchange’ furniture as well as new. Plonked myself down. ( in the shop window) . Price included delivery. And they could deliver this morning and they would move my other sofas for me! Perfect!
Was very restrained and walked down to M&S but needed nothing so walked back to car and then home. Met a fellow allotmenteer and had a chat with them.
Quick vacuum of the old sofa...3 empty poo bags , a stone, a magazine and an unopened pay slip! This has been taken away for a charity...already up for sale ...just checked the comments... ‘it’s a bit old womanly’ actually love it was from a very high end furniture shop ( via a charity shop for me!) other sofa will be going to tip ( which I saved it from last year but it’s now well and truly broken...it’s out at side of driveway but at least nice chaps took it out)
And then my lovely duck egg blue sofas went back in the living room with the yellow wall and I’m so much happier. The red sofas just glared in that room. Never again shall I have red furniture! Big mirror back up. Pictures changed and moved around.
Went to mothers. You may have noticed I’m doing a lot more of this...needs must! Hoovered and dishes and bathroom cleaner than it was. Had taken her shopping round.
Back to my house...furniture as I wanted it. Dog loving new sofas...dog not supposed to be on new sofas...son and dog favouring the cuddle chair!
Phoned friend for a chat.
Lasagne and veg for tea. Need to sort through fridge tomorrow. Going veggie ( not vegan) in January. So need to freeze meat that’s in fridge.
Fire on. Cosy. Cosy. Sister called me.
Fire on. Dozy...dozy!
Just been messaging DD1 she’s okay. Back home and her friend stayed the night for company.0 -
Raffles has taken his worming tablet like a man!
BoP has Prevailed!0 -
Happy New Years Eve!
Mhags A duck egg blue sofa sounds gorgeous. We were drawn to this colour when choosing the sofa for the extension, but ended up with brown leather again, as our doggy likes to play at being Goldilocks at night time, and tries out all the sofas :rotfl:
Yesterday
1. DD friend came to stay. It was nice to see her cheery for a few hours.
2. Hitched a lift with DH as he was taking DMiL to the doctors. I wandered around Resorts World. No bargains to be had, so retreated to the Sky Bar at one of the hotels. £2 pot of tea, and a priceless view. Best bargain of the day :rotfl:
3. Made chicken Parmesan for tea.
4. Made some soup from LO parsnips and the mountain of carrots.
5. A quiet evening watching Worzel Gummage and Christine Keeler. Interesting combination :rotfl:
Have a lovely day0 -
Monday pleasures,
Waking up and having no idea what day it was, not sure if this is really a pleasure but every day feels like a Saturday at the moment.
Sunshine and blue skies.
Saw the beautiful grey one, by the look of some of the deep indents in her field she has obviously been kicking up her heels, luckily the shoes have stayed on!
Out for a family meal, restaurant was a chain and food was just ok but lovely to see everyone and have a catch up. My eldest niece gave me a belated present of vouchers for the Arts theatre so making plans for a visit.
Small dog had pulled a muscle day before and was limping a tad first thing but an afternoon snoozing on her bed helped obviously helped as much better.0 -
Dear me! Risk. No No No No No No No No. Anyone knows it is the one who starts with Austraila that wins. You need proper strategic games like UCKERS Yes you red that correct!

There, now on with your version for the Life of BoP!
Just how do cats know that it is their worm tablet or flea treatment day. Yestday Raffles was not wanting anywhere near his payer of his veterinary bills. I had not even got the worm tablet out of the packet. But as told yous so by BoP that he wood prevail, late on as he was continuing his snooze, I grabbed him and soon administered his worm treatment, Bop Prevailed! Now this morning he is all for the fuss of BoP!
Watching the slog of big cricket on box of ogle. Another :heartpuls from Jenny to those down under. Minds me of Chapmans Pond in Meggie Town, Cleethorpes, where BoP came from. If one dived inn to that bottomless pool, one would come out in Australia!
Just looking at the fakebuck with the usual new year new me bullshines going on! No it will not! Keep your drawers!
Now just messing around and got the home hot dogs for dinner this day. Also I has some chocolate covered proper digestives as well!
That is you lot for BoP Bites for 2019! Time for more with added T20 Vision!
I will take a double SUCK BACK for that!0
