3) Hens OK and I cleaned out their sleeping quarters.
4) Did lots of housework including cleaning my room. Made 2 apple pies and a tray of jam tarts.
5) Bigger son went to a second hand sale and brought us back 2 crochet hooks and a tiny drone (for smaller son)!

Another very late night, but still managed a few pleasures.
1. Lovely catch up with mum and dad, we don’t live near each other so always good.
2. Dogs at doggy day care, so lunch hour spent in Hobbycraft....a guilty and expensive pleasure.
3. Comforting Spag Bol for dinner.
4. Long soak in the bath, complete with book, glass of wine and candles...not so pleasurable is I stayed in to long and emerged like a wrinkly prune.
5. Finally time to sleep and a mini lie in tomorrow.Well Behaved women seldom make history
Early retirement goal... 2026

Pleasures yesterday -
As ever, walk in the park with dog , even if it was all muddy and boggy.
Feeling virtuous because of a session at the local gym.
Lovely aromatherapy massage.
Bean-to-cup coffee.
Practiced Rock Choir songs in front of the computer where the harmony parts have been downloaded. It is so uplifting.
Receiving items in the post that I have ordered as Christmas presents. Nearly all done, the prezzy shopping!
An afternoon of cooking - batch of pancakes for speedy breakfasts, cheese and bacon muffins, home made bread, flapjacks.
Girl next door was 12 yesterday, and she was so pleased with the bag of gifts I gave her - girly magazines with free gifts, chocolate, bubble bath, lip balm, body butter, mini soaps, hand cream, hot chocolate sachets. Simple things. One life - your life - live it!0 -
There. You’ll wills wants to know about it.
Was inn the gym last evening and trimmed me puppy fats so I is beach ready again. Just curuius over the record of me sprints, squats and spurts. I did more last evening yet the computah thing said I did less. It lies, don’t trust these computahs.
Home to the stoved chilli. Nicely brewed and served up by BoPsie. Well tasty.
Now I has extra inns me lunch box this day. I has the normal, three cakes of Jaffa, usual strawbs and toms etc. And too Timeout biscuits things. I say too biscuits things as it appears that unfortunately, BoPsie has not got hers this day! That is a bonus for BoP and tuff luck for BoPsie. Please note it is BoP who kegs up, foes breakfest, feeds Raffles, cleans the yard, puts the world back up and other things inn the morning while BoPsie paints her toe nails. He also correctly bags the lunch boxes each day. So it is a bonus this day for BoP! Please think of BoPsie this day!
As a gooner, could not watch the Totteringham match last nite, so had a bit of Man City. Uncle of BoP was a scout for them and ran their supporters’ bus for years.
That is it, with me extra Timeout Lunch Bite today.
On with your day!0 -
DDi and James bringing Frieda to visit this afternoon.
Drive through the Forest of Dean this morning where the colours are breathtakingly beautiful.
Lovely lunch out at a Forest pub, will definitely be going regularly as it was delicious.
Ordered some little half length pens from E.Bay and they arrived this morning, super quick service so well pleased.
Found a lovely jumper in the shop yesterday which fits me perfectly and best of all is warm.....mmmmmmmm blissful!0 -
1 Ran some errands, dropped dhs car in for MOT, which sailed through, picked up prescription. Dropped into a shop and picked up some shady grass seed for where the old car had stood, so then raked the lawn, strimmed raked again tidied and popped the seed down and watered it all in....
2 Clean bedding for us on, and I am so happy our fuzz with a heart issue took a week to come around but the heart meds have kicked in I’ve missed him helping me change our bedding, chasing everything as I either take it off or put it on, and then being at every door where I want to go in and he’s not normally allowed.
3 RTC venison burger on fresh low gi bread was rather delicious.
4 Once the animals had settled I could get back in the upstairs bedroom and bought down the last 4 boxes of kitchen stuff.
5 House smells lovely with my casserole cooking through.0 -
Hello. Bedtime!
Big day at work. Quick morning but looong afternoon. Stayed on and did some visual merchandising with new stock that arrived.
The ‘your hours are being changed again’ chat. Going to be doing 2 full days instead of little shifts. Days to be confirmed. I need to work around DD2 college/ shifts so that someone is around to see to doggy. He’s never been left a whole day without being walked /let out.
Tips were reasonable.
Quick chat to friends on my way out as they were coming in.
Got chips for tea.
Blooming freezing house. No heat nor hot water. Pressure dropped in boiler. Son and I sorted it out between us.
Nice chat with friend on phone. We’re going a-gallivanting tomorrow evening.
A girl elf arrived in post. I was hoping not to do it this year but GN was excited about it and she’d written to Santa last year and asked for a girl elf to come to Great Auntie M. Sigh!
Got quote in from decorator! Yoiks! But will probably go for it. Then it’s all done properly.
Hoping for a better sleep than last nights. Atrocious.
Belated birthday greetings Pirate Pete0 -

I'm not sure I've been to ICT this year, VJsmum. That must be a first.
Happy belated birthday, Bop.
Pleasures for today (Thursday).
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens looking very well.
3) Went to see my mum who was on good form. Various problems brewing there (health and otherwise) so we have randomly decided to clear her spare room next Tuesday. This is no bad thing.
4) Took smaller son to town to buy a new game. Driving home, passed bigger son on his bike, who gesticulated vigorously that we must pull over. Found the next gateway (always nowhere to pull over!) He pulled up on the bike, I asked what was wrong and he said, "Nothing, I just wanted a chat" !
5) Used the end of the gammon for tea, with roast pots, carrots, parsnips, broccoli, bread sauce and gravy.
6) Spoke to my school friend and, on hanging up, the phone stated we had been talking for 2 and a quarter hours!
7) My election day poll clerk request came through and I am back at the same place with the same people! Really pleased about this as they are all so nice and I can do crochet with my colleague now! And £130 for me.
8) Enjoying the Electioncast series so will go to bed and listen to the next episode just now.0
