    9. DD has friends round for D&D (dungeons and dragons)
    10. So OH and I have camped out in the lounge with a picnic as they have taken over the kitchen.

    Have a nice evening.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • I thought I posted yesterday, but must have lost it when my laptop decided to do a rather drastic update. Dam, so for today.

1 Errands ran, somethings up with an animal flying off to vets, then errands prescription, docs, and pick up kitchen bits then home, it sounds simple but took 4 hours.
2 My boots arrived they are wonderful but not quite right size wise, so I asked for a refund, no problem I then reordered in a weird US size, where even the person who worked there doesn’t know what size it is, but they are on sale now at a better price and I got shipping taken off for having to call and sort it out. We will see what turns up.
3 Planned fish and veg was dinner.
4 I’ve started to unpack 3 kitchen boxes, and starting to wonder if I have a “prepping” problem, paranoia or if I am just set for winter, hmm I am going to go with winter.:o:rotfl:
5 Watched a sweet Amazon film called the beautiful fantastic.

    Pleasures for today (Tuesday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Hens well. Cleaned their sleeping quarters out.

    3) Went to Sainsburys with smaller son.

    4) Stopped at floody town to walk around behind the flood barriers!

    5) Brother brought us a pumpkin and a marrow dad grew which is about 80cm long! They are for lanterns.

    7) Watched the final of GBBO then Holby City.

    8) Stove going extremely well this evening. House temperature has risen from 14 to 24 degrees.

    Tuesday pleasures,

Feeding the birds early as very cold, I love how they all sit in the apple tree and hedge waiting for me to finish.

The beautiful grey one worked well for her Mum and I had a nice chat with a fellow owner.

Had washed my big yard coat but the velcro tab had ripped the hood in the machine so got my trusty sewing box out and did a mend job. I found the film Rear Window to watch and quickly got engrossed.

Made Ratatouille Couscous and a Winter Slaw to go with our veggie burger tea, there is enough for next couple of lunches.

Watched GBBO final and then snuggled down in bed with my Merry Midwinter book.
  • There, now all we need is a BoE form 5!

Under new rules, BoP does not gives a flying monkey about the coming election as he will be having a Tea Party. Details soon.

On that, hares lunch bites with BoP!

Lunch box today contains no proper digestives, but kettle crisps, sald and straws, two cheeses including appled smoky, a freddo, and a rocky! Proper foods.

At souvven mill still! Not whippet watching at the moments!

Offs to the JAM this evening for another talk, then I am there on SatDay morning I bee on the three pronged item. With tales of wander, magnetos and iron filings. That’s wills keeps you happy!

That’s its for the Lunch Bites
If you gets your flu jab at the pharmacy, you free up your quack to administer another trial of pills on the next crash test dummy!

Hello. An extra day off. Hurrah! Should have been working this evening but evening shifts cancelled . But as I’d worked an extra long day on Saturday I’m still okay for hours.

Stripped bed and still need to remake. Have pillow slips on and quilt cover on just waiting on sheet drying.

Washing machine was being a tad temperamental this morning before I went out so didn’t get sheets and pillowcases in till this afternoon.

First load out on line and almost dry.

Finally an emailed response from builder...ongoing problems. Called him out for being a tad rude in not even replying. Have since had about 5 emails today.

Took the bus to the city. Just for a couple of hours which is time enough for me. Like going up but like coming back too. Got a few gifts for Christmas time. I’m really not buying much this year.

Transferred money to son this morning for his Christmas gift...paid for his road tax and paid from my savings account that I’ve been adding money to each week when I get paid. Daughter is getting contact lenses. Very practical and probably a few things to open but nothing unnecessary.

Sunny day in a very cold way.

    Snoozette.

Just waiting on sheet being dry so I can make bed then Hoover floor then upstairs is tidy again. Again! Sigh!
  • Lainey, ohh I was just looking at that Merry Midwinter book it's on my @mazon list, I'd be interested to know if you think it's worth a ponder.

1 A bit of an odd day, up bright and early to take the little ferret in for his tests by 8am we were going to wait but they needed him for the day, he’s now home and having lots of cuddles but sulking immensely. The vets had a laugh with me giving me credence, they asked when I dropped him off what do we think it is, and I said from experience it’s his heart, but you are the vet. And £130 later they showed me the x rays and where the clear black shape of his lungs should be was white waves showing fluid, and where his heart is, was more of a shape again with fluid. So heart pills and diuretics starts tonight.

2 Home and pacing about so I continued the weird unpacking back into the new kitchen, using the opportunity to gather things together to know what we have.

3 A piece of heated chicken in a roll was a fakeaway lunch, tea was a quick spag bol.

4 Dropped a parcel at the post office and then the journey to pick up fuzz, I was closely tracking spends this week and just like that the vet bill happens.

5 I’ve got most of the ingredients for Christmas cake, missing one ingredient the rather crucial sultanas.:o

    Pleasures for today (Wednesday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Hens OK.

    3) Went to floody town with bigger son so he could cycle up the middle of the main road while it was shut (bridge now open again).

    4) Went for a walk with him so he could continue on without me (on his bike) to work, and I walked back to the car. Lovely nature reserve with the SVR in the distance.

    5) Beef casserole for tea.

    6) Bigger son did a massive marrow and smaller son did a pumpkin for Halloween.

    7) Picked bigger son up from work at 8pm.

    8) I have made 4 crochet wreaths for Christmas (about 5cm in diameter). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gD4hOfPWus
