Sorry fell off the edge again
DH has been in hospital since Tuesday ,had a bad fall 2 weeks ago ,had to get theparamedicsthis time as I just couldn't get him up.Was found to be in atrial fibrillation.to cut a long story short increasing breathlessness fluid retention ++and on Tuesday the GP took one look at him and admitted him !
Suppose the pleasures are that he is being treated ,there is now 1 and a half stone less of him ,they've got an awful lot of fluid off him very quickly,

Friends and relatives have been so kind and supportive

He is so weak and looks a poor old boy
    He doesn't deserve this

I'm so sorry, SuffolkSue. :-( I hope the treatments deal with the AF and the water retention thoroughly.

    Pleasures for today (Friday!)

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) French toast and banana for breakfast.

    3) Smaller son went to school! And went to a lesson! And got on properly with the coursework for his 2 BTECs. And... he might be getting an assisted place with Mencap (on leaving school) to help him get a job. Well, its a vague possibility but any help useful just now.

    4) Proper clean of the house - floors hoovered and steamed, dusting, bathroom completely cleaned, kitchen sink, units and drawer fronts. Fridge shelves, microwave...

    5) Hens well and 3 eggs.

    6) Bigger son came home from college at lunchtime so had a quick driving lesson with me. Went into town so he could upgrade his phone then had a cup of tea/coffee in an independent coffee shop I had been meaning to try for years!

    7) Collected smaller son from school then my mum from her train (she'd been on holiday with my sister).

    8) An evening with MrA. :-) ETA - saw a barn owl on the way home.

Get well wishes winging their way to Suffolk Sue’s DH and take care of yourself too.

    Friday pleasures,

Much better mobility wise so managed to crack on with chores around the house which included clearing out the boiler cupboard, how many old newspapers do one couple need!

Drove over to the farm shop, admired their Easter display but  at some of the prices.

A tiny wren making their way through the hedge, blink and you would miss it.

My horse’s mane sparkling silver in the sunlight, I might be biased but she really is rather beautiful.

The nights are drawing out, we closed the curtains and put the lamps on at 8pm.

    For the past few days.

    1. Stayed dry and our of the hail we've had this week. Normally with rain showers I tend to be unlucky and get wet.

    2. Hens have been laying eggs well and have some to a friend who appreciates them.

    3. Daffodils amongst other flowers picked from the garden looking lovely in vases.

    4. Went out for a meal with AN using a voucher that we had been given at Christmas. Still have £2.03 left on it too.

    5. Work colleague who has retired came in for lunch and she seems ok but is having chemo at the moment.

    6. Friend came for lunch. It was good chatting and she was ok.

    1) miserable morning - took dogs to library to pick up the lion the witch and the wardrobe
    2) then back home to change into dry shoes. bliss
    3) very nice what's-in-the-fridge lunch - kippers, rice, red cabbage, sprouts, onion, last tomato, curry powder. yum

Bedtime. And I'm ever so ready for it!

Up early with a vomity doggy! Grrrrrr!

Finished painting photo frames then started on dresser. It's now 'winter grey' and as it was cream before it only needed one coat! Hurrah!

Then it was time to go and do a community litter pick! We collected 20 huge bin liners of crap! Most did an hour but a few did a second hour. I went home for my wellies then cleared rubbish out the burn. Burn is a Scottish word for a stream. Not sure if it's used elsewhere? Anyway it was full of rubbish. I think we were all glad we did our bit but all horrified at the amount we collected. We live in a 'nice' area.

Went a long walk with a friend and her dogs. A new to me way.

Then ( though I really couldn't be bothered) walked to the allotment. But I saw birds and lambs and someone walking a Shetland pony! Planted my rhubarb crowns, had a blether with another gardener, 'borrowed ' some rhubarb from another patch ( have been told I can) then walked back the same way I came. Usually go a different way.

Dropped rhubarb off at friend I'd walked with . Was there about an hour chatting then walked home. I feel all walked out tonight!

Finished painting. Re-filled frames with new photos from our time in Australia. The last ones were from before we moved to Australia of our seasons in Scotland. Hung them on the wall that has just been waiting for them.

Made lasagne with a 20p tray of roasting veg and salad for tea.

Watched BGT and Casualty with a dog on my lap. Lovely boy.

It's now raining so my new rhubarb should have a good water in.

    Enjoying reading everyones pleasures.

1 Remembered to be in it to win it.
2 We went out for a few hours to a heritage show it was “ok” let down a bit by traffic, weather and crowds, but, we took food and drink and enjoyed a change of scenery and saved both money and queuing by paying the tickets in advance, well last night.
3 DH is quite shocked at quite how badly the place needs redecorating, as the part painted ceiling highlights, I’m looking forward to achieving finishing the ceiling tomorrow.
4 Remembered to put in repeat prescription, a pleasure not to forget.
5 Ordered in and there is so much left it will go with wraps and salad tomorrow.
