    Tuesday pleasures,

Went out to get horse girlie some hard feed and had a good chat with my pal who works in the feed store.

Deep cleaned the bathroom, only pleasure is when it’s done!

Feta and roasted veg wrap for lunch.

Over at the yard in the sunshine, good chats with fellow livery and owner, it’s such a friendly place to be now.

Watched Shetland but fell asleep in the last 20 minutes so will need to catch up today.
  • V Bin at the mill race all morning sorting out lots of little bits that we have. All is good.

4 I has not tolds you about the exciting lunch box this weak! Well, is again packed with good foods. Toms and cucumber, boiled egg, three proper digestives, cheese not smoked, orange and oranges in orange jelly with trifle sponges.

3 Curries were made last eve. Three have been left on the stove to mature. Be careful ifs yous has curry from BoP, they clear your nostrils. Good for those with lurgies! Jenny sends a :heartpuls to the unwell!

2 Only days now until your next BoP tour event, live from …

    Not having one again!

    There, on with your lot!
  • BOP, exciting travels.
Frith, sorry to read of the one you are best off without. Your last post reminded and inspired me to dig out the meatballs from the freezer.

1 Up early, the tile grouter from Amazon arrived, so I set to on the bathroom, remembered to take before and afters and I’m pleased with it, it’s all done. I waited a while, cleaned up the tiles, and shelves and reassembled the bathroom.:j

2 I poured the grout stuff into a lid and not wanting to waste any then set to on all the kitchen tiles that “that were visible”.:o

3 Feeling shattered by lunch stopped for a cuppa.:D

4 The Bay skirt arrived and it’s even better than I thought, it’s new with tags, lovely and long.:T

5 Started packing away all items on top of the units in the lounge which took all afternoon, lost the ompth sugar soaping will have to wait till tomorrow, currently looking at paint colours which doesn’t really work on a computer screen.

6 Popped out with DH to pick up a parcel for him as you can’t park outside so I ran in.

7 As we were out, we stopped in at lidl and we picked up lots of odd and sods, DH picked out 2 plants for me, this is big news and the pressure is on as indoor plants don’t have a habit of living, fingers crossed:rotfl:. He picked up an air gritter, and a lot of reduced animal meat.

8 DH kindly dropped me to Mr T, I popped in and had a lovely natter with the lady and chap doing ham reductions.

9 Home and some 50p croissants warmed up with my hm [STRIKE]cement[/STRIKE] / rosehip jam.

10 I’ve got back into reading, it feels nice to be able to get lost so to speak again.:)

Was logged out of MSE . Not sure why?

Bedtime. Another day of lurgy. This is the do stuff the day before suffer the next . I slept till 7.20am . It was light when I woke so was slightly shocked!

Not terribly much done. Moved furniture off front lawn and round back ( had to wait for cement to settle ) I managed table and foot stool doodah but needed the help of the boy for the L shaped sofa. It was rather wet.

Made him a kind of risotto using up leftovers from fridge. I had peanut butter on toast and an orange and DD2 was working.

Hoping someone is coming to collect 25 spare roof tiles tomorrow. Chap emailed me through gumtree. They're on front lawn so he can just help himself.

Community garden chap is going to come at weekend to take some spare new slabs and the odd wheelbarrow we find ourselves with! No idea where it's came from.

    A few little doggy walks.

PK - I couldn't quite get the reference to meatballs for a minute - I wasn't THAT angry with him!!!

    Pleasures for today (Wednesday).

    1) A lie in.

    2) Bigger son worked at the garage and the owner took him for a ride in his new sporty car. They do look after him well.

    3) Hens OK.

    4) Met my sister and niece in the park in floody city. Had a good walk and a cup of tea. Then, in the tiny backstreets, whom should we pass working mixing cement on the pavement but Mr Stove!!! He didn't see me as we were in my sister's car.

    5) Went round the charity shops and bought some CDs then popped to Lidl.

    6) Took bigger son for a driving lesson and to try and get some climbing shoes. He will have to order them especially as he's an 11 and wider than the widest fitting.

    7) Bigger son made tea - tagliatelle and sea food.

    8) Phoned my school friend.

    1. Good day at work. It seems a theme for this week probably due to the people on holiday. I know I enjoy the actual work.

    2. Enjoying reading my book.

    3. The moon.

    4. DS2 ranting over a parking ticket and rudeness of parking attendant.

    5. We all enjoyed watching the Brits together.

    Wednesday pleasures,

Didn’t sleep so well so the pleasure of a really good cup of coffee.

Despite above had a busy day, met our vet over the yard and first she did horse girlie’s teeth, there were a couple of sharp bits right at the back so she rasped them down. Then girlie had her booster (bit early but taking no risks with equine flu ) and finally vet charged up her scanner to find girlie’s microchip, all good so that at least doesn’t need doing. All through the above my pony was well behaved :j

Next our farrier turned up to do her feet, he asked had girlie been sedated as she was so relaxed had fallen asleep in the sun :D He did her feet as we chatted and pony kissed the back of his head coz she loves her farrier.

Finally left yard around 3 and arrived home very hungry so had a big mug of soup and a chunk of bread.

An exchange of emails with a dear friend.
  • Now just a rant today! One for the educationalists? Is this poverty?

At the mill we has a person who cannot afford to come in the last week of the month. Not just this month again, but last month and the month before. He has no money to put fuel into the car?
Now yous knows last month and before xmas I was on about the six weeks to the next pay day, I also did this on buck face. Then in January I said that your next pay packet would be here in only four weeks, and if you put a fifth away, you would have some left over?
Well again, out with the spoiler room, they are again without our colleague!
So is it poverty the reason that this person cannot afford the petrol to come to work?

    Now onto BoP pleasures.

V Again was parading my beach ready body in the gym last nite. Was Good.

4 Another packed lunch box again, digestives, orange, oranges in jelly, cucumber, toms, boiled egg and some church town cheese today!

3 Home later for the goooners and curry. Proper stove food and good for you.

2 Looking at booing the Alcatraz trip and the Sunset cat today. This tour is looking too good for yous lot to miss as we do another BoP Tour Live!

Right is having one today. I said is it poverty that is reason as to why our colleague cannot afford the petrol to come to work?
Actually he is a lead on a programme and is on more money that BoP! So why have I asked what the educationalists do? Well he has an MSc, I actually interviewed him! So what is wrong? Well, he comes in with his ready meals at work, three of which we have to throw out of the fridge come Friday as it is just wasted. He spends thousands of pounds on items for himself, yet has no money? I am just thinking that when I did my apprenticeship, I was paid £36 a week, with the company taking £18 into superannuation. Mum took £5 and stones was 20 pence a pint! I was not skint, but you took the packet every Thursday! Do the same teenagers at the university, get paid a weekly allotment? Just curious, because to me it seems that the grant, loan and fees fund could come in one lump and the temptation to the teenager is too much?

So having that £10 every week bought a couple of pints of Stones, a magazine and some fun. With another packer the following week. So how come, when I was ill with my heart, I am still in my house, still living, still going on holiday?

It is not poverty to have no money to pay the petrol to get to work?

I will leave it at that?

Good a.m. Friday from NZ, vl.
Mse's excellent parking ticket sub-section within the Motoring Forum will help your ds2's.
Essential reading, regardless of whether it is a private parking scumpany ticket (huge success rate for those who read+follow the abundant free advice) or a council one.
