3) then 1st half of vera while having bath as reward :rotfl:
4) walked dogs, then down to Abertay union (DD2 student there) to watch both rugby matches. Not so good for me, supporting the losing side in both

Hello. It's 6pm and just getting dark. Just had a quick walk with dog and trying to remake my bed.
Up early and out with dog. Pretty sunrise though quite muted.
Stripped bed and also sons . Just finishing drying off on radiators.
Has been a pleasant day . Mild.
Would have had a pleasant dog walk but too many other dogs for Haggis' liking so a bit stressy. He's not always good with other stranger dogs.
Dropped off DD2 in town for her trial shift at new job ( hopefully) .
Started a library book and read a fair bit throughout day.
Hoovered stairs and bedrooms and cleaned bathrooms and washed all washable floors.0 -
Keep beatin Jenny.
Yesterday
1 We popped out to pick up a prescription, as it was such a beautiful day we used backroads to go across to the best garden centre.
2 The wallet didn’t stay shut, I got a new pot for the hoya, which DH has already adjusted to attach a frame, and a little houseplant soil, side note if it helps anyone, do not use the terrible westlands soil.
3 We treated ourselves to lunch there and it was one of the best we have had, we decided to make it a monthly trip.
4 Home and popped a 30 percent off chicken in the oven to cook for tea, had part of it with rustled up salad and rtc Mexican cheese.
For today
1 A Sunday lay in.
2 Traditional Sunday grilled bacon rolls.
3 I potted up the kitchen grass and fern, then tackled the 2nd hoya which is now framed up, new compost and fed, here’s hoping it gets happy again.
4 A mish mash of things created a nice tasty curry and turmeric rice, dessert of gelato, ohhh twist my arm.
5 Beeswax candles burning, and an online chat with DB.0 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Good to get up after a few short sleep.
2) Dropped bigger son off at Go Ape and walked the long route through the forest.
3) Hens well and 4 eggs.
4) Have been ploughing my way through POF (not literally!) and realised I have been "chatting" with someone whose roof I can see out of my window! What are the chances, in a village with fewer than 50 houses. :-O
5) Made some fairy cakes.
6) Having the new (to me) greenhouse on Tuesday.0 -
1. Spent most of the day in the garden. It was lovely and warm. Sun out and blue skies.
2. Chat with neighbours.
3. Lunch in the garden.
4. Beautiful sunset .
5. Meal with DH cousins. Good company and good.0 -
Belated Birthday wishes to our Jenny :heartpuls:heartpuls
Weekend pleasures,
Enjoying early morning cuppa in holiday cottage and two roe deer appeared on opposite bank of the river.
Long walk around Holt Country Park, so quiet with just the sound of the wind blowing through the tree tops.
Picked up some bread making flour from the local water mill and had a long chat with the miller, I then had the theme tune from Candlewick Green going through my head for the rest of the day
and for yesterday,
Had a look round an antique’s emporium, expensive and very staged, I prefer a good rummage!
Visited a spot called Natural Surroundings which is a plant centre located in water meadows with hides for bird watching.
Saw a barn owl.
Very envious of their herb garden and noted down a couple of the more unusual herbs, did buy some hyssop to plant at home.
The afternoon was so warm we could sit outside for a late lunch, roast beef with all the trimmings followed by sticky toffee pudding, can’t be bad! plus the waitress brought a couple of treats for small dog.
We have been so lucky with the weather, we chose a cottage with a wood burner in case of snow and ended up with 17degrees of sunshine :j0 -
V Down at the mill in the spoiler room, we has a biscuit barrel that holds sweeteners to keep the stokers happy. This morn we has a dilemma, but I win as I is the lead stoker. Wes havings the ginger nuts thirst, the creams can wait. Nows not everysone likes the ginger nuts, so it is likely that the cream will not be inn the barrel until Thursday. Ifs I has put the creams inn thirst, by the time yous read this, the creams would be gone. The things I has to sacrifice here! Sees ifs yous work here at the mill, the niceties you get in your day!
4 Dominoes Time. Yes, the dinner yesterday was well ready at half time just like the cheese on toast service. And all for less that the £20 wasted on cheese on toast as well. Served with swede carrot mash, proper rosemary enfused roast tates, cauliflower and pan gravy. Then strawbs and raspberry ripple ice cream. Tum was rubbed.
3 Watched another Sherlock Holmes last night. The House of Fear. Dastardly was it. Cocoa and crumpets were had as well. Proper buttered and marmite crumpets at that.
2 Day in BoP’s lunch box we has toms, cheese, raspberry jelly with oranges, delight of Turk, and an orange. Ginger nuts are inn the biscuit barrel.
Not having one today. Well, some thought it was time for spring yesterday, but as normal, the daffodils got a icing this morning!
Cut the springs you puppet.0 -
